These small cans of low sodium tuna fish were perfect for making a sandwich for two while maintaining a low salt diet.

I think it tasted good as any canned tuna I've ever had. This is going to be our regular tuna now. It was packed tight. Not quite as tight, and not quite as solid as albacore; but I could not shake it out of the can, I had to pry it out with a fork. The label says "skipjack light tuna (katsuomus pelamus)," and slightly pinkish in color. I dislike the taste of tuna containing vegetable broth or sodium pyrophosphate, and I've been paying $4 a can and up for tuna. I hope the "sustainable," "pole and line caught," and "dolphin safe" are true because I see that as a plus, but that's not my primary reason for choosing it.

Updated review (11/7/25): WHOA Baby!! The last price I paid for this (on 10/8/25) was $36.10 per dozen. Today, just one month later, it is $50.40 per dozen. I always order 4 dozen every month (48 cans) as it is such an excellent staple for my high protein, low salt special diet. So the $144.40 mo. I was paying for the 4 dozen is NOW, for the same amount, exact same item, is $201.60. I guess it it's not due to the new tariffs, since the exact same, but salted, regular tuna is still at the low price. So, what can it be??? My 6/20/24 review: The product is excellent. I use it almost daily in my diabetic diet for a quick and convenient protein. Arrives well packed in cartons of 12 cans each, in a second box. It can currently be had cheaper on their website, but their shipping takes more time than Amazon's.

I love that this product is mercury free, third-party tested, and line-caught. It works great in recipes, and you can control the amount of salt that you want to add. Always tastes fresh!

Enjoyed this a lot. Mixed with a little Mayo and some cranberries and GF crackers for a good lunch. Much better than my grocery chunk light. The quality and taste are there.

For healthier eating, I need low-sodium products. This tuna lets me have the option of tuna. It tastes great and is super-convenient.
