I bought this to replace the Hayward Skimmer that was on my original pool from 20 years ago. I found the serial number on the old unit. I think a letter might have been different. I had my liner replaced and this installed. Fit perfectly. I didn't realize it also comes with the outlet. I had purchased one separately. Much better price than pool stores. I love the wide mouth. Very happy with how exact this was of a replacement.

I had off-brand skimmer on a different pool before I had to replace it. Got this skimmer and the quality is night and day. From the plastic to the gasket, they’re not even in the same league. This one is soooooo much better and it’s easy to install. The only negative I have is it needs to come with an adapter so that it connects to Intex hoses. I would absolutely pay extra for such an adapter. I know Intex probably has some kind of exclusive thread pattern and/or size, which is the thing that makes sense why there’s no method included. Besides that, you’d be foolish to settle for any other skimmer

Perfect replacement!

I had to purchase this for my Coleman above ground pool. They had to cut a little place in the side it went in quickly easily and it's working perfectly!

Genuine Hayward skimmer shipped from the US I think. Arrived 5 days early than what was stated on shipping. Fairly easy install for someone with a steady hand and the right tools. Pre install. It put screw in each hole required with electric screwdriver 3/4 in to cut a thread and make install easier. I also marked each hole with a marker on the liner and melted small hole for each screw with soldering iron which worked really well. Offered up the face plate with all scresw pushed through the liner to mark the liner cutout and carefully cut it with a fresh Stanley blade. Hole needs to measure 306mm x 136mm so the gasket fits nice and doesn’t distort. Skimmer and wide mouth adapter put together before offering up to the hole in the pool. Again used electric screwdriver (not a drill) to fix screws 90% in and tightened by hand multiple times. I chose to add the valve at the bottom of skimmer from my local pool shop so I can isolate/control flow as needed. Final install was easy enough. Corner screws first through face plate and then the rest with electric screwdriver 90% in. Tightened by hand the last 10%. Kept going to each screw to tighten 1/8th a turn until satisfied. Once pool was filled to correct level (halfway). I opened valve on skimmer and closed valve on the other inlet to pump. It immediately started sucking in debris floating on it near the surface. Great product but instructions are minimal so watch the YouTube videos. First. Also comes with an inlet fitting but didn’t use it.

Worked great for my needs (replace older age item). Before installing recommend injecting water resistant silicone on its "touch points" - especially on the inside and outside layers of the pool's plastic film liner. Watch lots of U-Tube videos and see how others install it. This "large mouth" skimmer worked great to replace leaking old skimmer on my older age pool... I recommend to others...
