    Just ok

I'm using this as a mold for my home made soap. The sides of the silicone mold bulge out a little when Its filled and I don't like that so much because it changes the shape of the bars of soap. I do like that the soap releases from the mold very easily with absolutely no sticking. It's easy to clean in soaps and warm water. This is the first time I've used silicone and it just may be the nature of the material (silicone) but I wish it was as a little more sturdier.

Exactly The Bread Pan I NEED

*by K***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2015*

I love this bread pan! I've been looking for one like this for years, ever since I accidentally gave mine to my sister. She won't give it back. I'll try very hard to think of some 'cons', but in the meantime, here are the 'pros' for this little gem:(I will note here that I did follow the manufacturer's directions and I washed the pan before use (in the dishwasher) and greased it before the first few uses.)PROS:1. Vertical buttresses: Those vertical ridges you see on the side are THE reason I bought this particular bread pan. Keep reading for more info.2. Horizontal buttresses: See those flat projections from the bottom of the bread pan? The ones that connect to the vertical buttresses on the side? This is the second part of the ingenious BPSS (Bread Pan Support System) built into this marvel of engineering. Together, these two features provide unmatched support for this pan and for whatever is in it. Together, they keep the floppy silicone sides from bowing outwards, and prevent the bread from collapsing under its own weight. I cook gluten free, and many of the doughs I use are very thick and heavy, and they cause my other silicone pans to collapse, resulting in "pancakes" rather than "loaves." It is extremely difficult to make convincing PB&Js for picky 10 year olds from "pancakes." But just this morning I made a loaf of French bread in this pan, and by the time it was finished rising and baking, my loaf was close to six inches tall. If you know anything about gluten free breads at all, I'm sure your jaw is on the floor now too.3. Non stick: And when they say non-stick, they mean NON STICK. It's so non-stick that washing it after use is sort of pointless. I wash it anyway, though, because....4. Dishwasher washable: Not that it needs washing, but I stick it on the top rack and walk away. Makes me feel virtuous and competently housewifely -- baking AND cleaning up. Yes, there are some water spots after my dishwasher is done, but I bought this to bake in, not to look at.5. Smaller than your average silicone bread pan: Because I'm baking gluten free, my breads need all the help they can get to rise nicely. The silicone bread pans I have been using are HUGE (well, OK, they're 10.5" X 5.5") and allow the dough to sprawl all over the place, even before the floppy silicone sides bow outwards. The nice, compact size of this bread pan (combined with the excellent side supports) gives my dough no place to go but up. Fluffy dough = children who will eat GF bread they claim to hate = happy mother = no jail time for anyone. This is a series of events I can get behind in a very positive way.6. Crispy crust: Top, bottom, and sides. Oh, yum.CONS:I thought of one: The color is really hideous. There's just no other way to say it. But, like I said, I bought this to bake in, not to look at.I am certain there are other excellent silicone bread pans on the market, but this is the one I needed -- for all the reasons mentioned above -- and this is the one which makes me do a little happy dance whenever I have to bake. And, since I hate baking, that's really saying something.

    Stains and doesn't hold form

*by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2015*

Every time I bake using this product, it becomes harder to get it clean. After 4 uses - the edge/rim/lip is stained. I even used metal scrubbers - it's not coming clean. Inside where the bread is - it does clean out easily. I think the stains are from the cooking spray (recommended for the first several uses by the manufacturer). In any case/whatever the reason, combined with not holding form and allowing the sided to push out - I wouldn't buy it again.
