Hvac fiberboard duct work.
This is the tool you need to staple fiberboard duct together, when putting together plenum or mixing boxes ect. Nice tool!

Good stapler
Good stapler. There are rare jams, perhaps 1 over 100 staples. I would had preferred to have zero jams but 1 every 100 staples is perfectly acceptable.

Cinches outward. Occasional mis-staple
I did what I needed it to do (stapled some ac ductboard).seems pretty durable. I didn’t get any actual jams but did get a couple of mis-staples that didn’t go deep enough, but it may have been user-error pulling the trigger too quickly. Otherwise, no major issues for me. Will update if any issues in the future.

Make sure you have the right stapler
I found it very challenging when ordering to know whether I was getting the right product or not. To clarify, you want model T6-8OC2. You do not want model T6-8. That model is not an outward clinch stapler. Here's why it's confusing - the two products look EXACTLY alike. On one side of the stapler they even both just say 'T6'. Why make it so hard for the consumer? I received the correct stapler. In my case, as seen in the picture, it clearly has the correct model number listed on one side, and the box had the correct model number too. STCR5019 staples do work with this model. It worked ok for stapling some HVAC insulation, although some of the staples came loose immediately afterwards. Perhaps the staples I used were not long enough.

Make sure you buy correct staples
STCR50191/2-1M These are the staples you will need, don’t fall for the suggested “often purchased together”, like I did. I purchased this stapler to use with duct board for a single job. I never used duct board before, never used an outward stapler . I purchased the wrong staples, no place locally carried them and by the time I got the correct ones I had finished the job without.

Read description first!!!
Stapler doesn’t come with staples. The description said that it comes with staples but didn’t. The stapler T6-80C2 takes 7/16 in wide staples which are NOT the most common size staples. If you need staples in a hurry, it’s hard find staples at hardware store like homedepot or Lowe’s, 3/8in is the most common width size.

Great for insulation work!
Only stapler I could find for the outward stitch bow-tie staples. Just what I needed to cover my ducts in new insulation. Works as intended. You can trust Bostitch. As others have stated make sure it's the T6-8OC2 and not the T6-8.

Works Great!
I had an old Bostitch for nearly 15 years. It worked so well that there was no need to get a different brand. I am pleased with the construction and ease of use for this stapler. Other guys on the jobsite have different brands and I have tried them, but I like the Bostitch the best.

The stapler arrived, seems to work on. I do have an issue with paying full price for product that was obviously returned, with extensively damaged packaging. I normally store things like this in its original packaging to keep it clean..... I guess not this time. The product should have been sold as open box item, and discounted.
