Excellent keyboard riser, but watch out a QC issue
I'm a big VIVO fan of their ergonomic products. I converted my desk into a sit/stand workstation for less than $500 with three LCD panels and a Mac Mini. The missing element was a nice sturdy keyboard riser (keyboard lift) to bring my keyboard and pointers (mouse, touchpad) to a comfortable level. That's where the "VIVO Black Single Top 27-inch Heavy-Duty Scissors Lift" (VIVO Desk-V000P) caught my attention. As I mentioned, I'm a loyal VIVO user, thanks to a sterling QC reputation, until now. UPDATE - still using the riser. And guess what? I contacted VIVO and they sent me a new one. And guess what again? The new one works fine. No issues whatsoever. Using as intended. Functional as advertised. And really - quite a great value for the money spent. Updated my review from a 3* to a 5* because VIVO is awesome once again. Unboxing was great until I unlocked the top from the base and tried to lift the top (from the edges) into position. Disaster struck when five 1.27cm wood screws simultaneously popped out of the MDF core and the locking mechanism fell away, leaving the scissor assembly without purpose. I never send products back if they can be easily repaired (less hassle, less for the landfill). And this problem is repairable, but I don't recommend it. This QC issue concerns product design and manufacturing. It is fixable, but they'll need to design and add a retainer bracket to strengthen the locking mechanism's grip on the top. Otherwise, it's a brilliant product that adjusts in small enough increments for just about any user. It's heavy, and I think the weight adds to the stability of the product—no wobbling! And you really want that for a workstation. Repair: I cleaned out the old holes of debris, filled the holes with Gorilla glue, let that dry, and then reseated each of the wood screws. The fix works for now, and I plan on raising and lowering the riser infrequently. This QC issue is a big strike in an otherwise pristine VIVO product quality reputation. VIVO... I hope you're reading this. You have one loyal customer who is now wary and watchful. Three negative points for what is a huge QC issue that affects value. There are two negative points because the QC issue negatively affects product sturdiness. But solid 5*'s for comfort. It's great when it works!

No height adjustable desk? No problem!
I got this for my desk along with some monitor arms to turn it into a MacGyver'd standing desk when my back starts to hurt. It's sturdy and easily folds back up to the resting position to sit down again when needed. It's wide enough for a full sized keyboard and mouse. Feels like high quality materials and is not flimsy at all. Would purchase again.

Very Stable in Raised Position
It's really hard to find the perfect standalone keyboard stand. This may be the best option. It's the ideal size and It's much more stable than I expected even when raised to the highest position. There is virtually no play. However, in the down position, the top surface does have a little rock which I find annoying. Also, the height in the down position is a bit too high for me at 2" when seated. So, I remove the whole stand from the desktop when not in use. It's light enough for me to do this without much difficulty. However, when you lift up the stand to move it, the height setting disengages and the whole thing collapses down. So, every time you move it, you have to reset the height which is a finicky process. The design should have included a lock to secure your height setting in place. My solution was to add a 1/2" x 1/2" x 7" strip of wood in the base track channel. This locks it into the highest position possible. This 7" strip gives me a 15" high surface. This is 2" higher than the internal stop affords. I'm 6'-4" and need this extra height and the wood strip adds extra assurance that the top won't disengage. The only other minor quibble is the quality of the top surface which feels economy grade for the price. The surface shows fingerprints and the edges would have been nicer if they were beveled or rounded more. It would have been great if the top surface was a more durable solid surface material rather than thin laminated MDF board.

I love it
Easy to use and works well for me. It allows me to easily switch from sitting to standing and back again. Since I’m working from home because of the pandemic, I frequently switch from sitting to standing. The platform has enough room for my long keyboard (which includes a number pad on the side) and a mousepad and mouse. There is space for a coaster and a mug, as well. Of course, it takes up more room on my desk that the keyboard and mouse alone, so if I want to write down notes using a notepad, I’ve got less room on my desk, but I’ll work around that. The platform is too heavy and bulky for me to move from my desk when I’m not using it in a raised position, but if you have room, you could move it when not using. I like that it is heavy and bulky - it feels sturdy when it is raised. I wouldn’t lean my weight on it, but it feels solid nothing flimsy or cheap]. I’m glad I chose this product over the cheaper options.

Don't Buy, flimsy and inefficient
DO NOT BUY! On the first use out of the box the sliding base attached to the bottom of the top board ripped off and the tiny screws holding it down stripped out of the flimsy particle board. I was able to fix it by installing some scrap hardwood shims laying around and redrilled new holes with better screws but don't pay for this junk product. If you want to adjust to a lower height you need to extend the top board to its maximum height for the locking mechanism to unlock then slide it all the way to the closed position to reengage the lock and restart again. Find another product with a lever lock instead, you'll save yourself from a constant annoying headache.

Good quality
The platform is big enough to hold the keyboard and mouse with room to spare. It is easy to open and close. It has several hights to choose from. I can go from sitting to standing in seconds. It was a good purchase for what I wanted and that was to stand and work for more time during the day. It is a heavy weight platform and built well. It is very sturdy, doesn't shake when typing.

I had read reviews but was still a bit skeptical. I wanted a "temporary" option. I don't have a sit-stand desk but do have my monitor on an arm so the great thing about this is that it's solid, it's heavy but not so much so that you can't drop it onto our desk and lift it up when you want to stand, then take it down and set it of to the side when you want to sit again. It does drop almost flat so you could just lower the keyboard lift and go with that but I find it simpler to just move it off/on my desk as needed then I lift or lower my monitor at the same time. This choice is nice and solid and has good rubber feet. It doesn't shift on the desk and when it's in the up position, you can type, lean on it use your mouse without issue. I would definitetly recommend. I wish I had bought it months ago.

This product works just as expected, but fair warning - it's incredibly heavy! I think it needs to be heavy really, as it does lift quite high, so needs to withstand typing and movement. It's a great product though, and definitely worth the price tag for the build quality.

kan fästa handledsstöd i kansten och musen får plats till höger även fast jag har ett fullstort tangentbord. Tar lite plats ihopfälld. Gummifötterna suger fast bra i skrivbordet. Bra köp!
