Minelab EQX 06 Double-D Waterproof Smart Coil for Equinox Metal Detectors (Skidplate Included)

This little coil is the real deal! you almost feel as if you have no coil on at all. It really helps to get in between the trash and goes much deeper than advertised. I found items over 9 inches and in extremely trashy sites. Some targets actually had nails on top of them, which is amazing. I would think that i was just getting the good signal from the nail till I swung over the hole again. Yep, good target was several inches deeper under the nail. Found plenty of good targets with nails and or aluminum junk in the same hole. It truly is a sniper coil. Do you still dig pull tabs?? Yes. Do you still dig nails?? Yes. No way around those things but you will also find more good targets mixed as you can discriminate better that there is a good target in there and hone in on it much easier. The only drawback is this coil must be swung in very close proximity to targets. if you get a wonky signal, slow down and swing over the area in very close rows. You cannot cover ground nearly as fast as you can with the 11 or 15 inch coils but with those, you will find much less in trashy areas because of their larger sizes. if an iron target passes under the center bar of those targets at the same time you will never know as the iron will mask the good signal. Not a problem with the little 6 inch coil. Get one and take it to your favorite hunted out spot, you wont be sorry.

Amazing little coil! Picks targets out of trash really good and the depth on this is really surprising for no bigger than it is! A little pricey but it is money well spent. Won’t take long to pay for itself.

First I have to say I’m not happy with the plastic bag for shipping, as it got bumped and scuffed. But the product itself seems to work awesomely! Within one hour of receiving this coil, I tested it in my own backyard and found my first buffalo nickel, I think 1920 but hard to tell. I’ve been over my yard dozens of times with larger coils and now I can go back over it again with this coil! I am stoked! PLEASE SHIP THIS IN A BOX, or at least bubble wrap!

This was a perfect match for my Equanox 800. The smaller coil reduces the target area which, in most cases allows me to find targets with less digging and smaller holes. It’s well made, waterproof, and lightweight.

This 6 inch coil works miracles in trashy areas, I haven't noticed any depth or sensitive loss at all. They get in between those trashy targets and isolates the good targets. I use this coil 75% of the time. Well worth the price.

This item has been used, notice the leather in the ejector of punch and the mark on the tool. Shouldn’t all the robots be in bags?

I own 2 Equinox 600 machines and now both of them are running this coil. I have tested both machines side by side and this smaller coil is superior in every way IMHO. I cherry pick targets and sort out iron and other nonsense so much better with this coil. Plus, you can actually pinpoint with it versus the stock coil. The only advantage the biggest coil not stock would have is big wide open areas with little trash. This is a NON-BS truth, I pulled a US Clad quarter from 12+ " the other day at an old beach, this was rough rocky beach and it must have been laying down there for 40 yrs as its so shot. As I dug I kept saying this is BS, probably a piece of vertical iron bar giving me a false quarter reading, NOPE, it was a quarter. I needed a literal shovel to hack through the rocks, sand mixture, this coil is a beast and worth every penny. BTW, it gave me a VDI and tone on that target from initial detection.

Great for those high trash areas…sorts through trash like a hungry raccoon. Works fantastic!
