If you pour out the liquid, is there still a near leathal dose of sodium (1300mg - 54% daily allowance) left in the noodles?

I highly recommend adding the water to just the noodles alone, let it sit for about 2 minutes, then pouring that out, rinse it with COLD water a few times (at least twice), and then add the boiling water again with about 3/4 of the seasoning packet. That may seem counterproductive to being "instant", but it really doesn't take that long. The noodles themselves have a lot of sodium (as does any ramen), and this drain/rinse will remove a lot of that, while adding only MOST of the seasoning packet reduces it even more. Yes, this would cause a permanent tic under the eye of any ramen chef in Korea or Japan, but then most "instant" ramen soups do that anyway. ;-)

Are these Veggie flavored noodles supposed to be spicy? I bought these because the reviews said they were super spicy, but they’re not.

No or Maybe. By "super spicy", I interpret this to mean hotness and not flavorfulness. Amazon is primarily based in the United States; and In the United States, some people eat spicy and it doesn't bother them, and some people don't eat spicy at all, and this might seem "very spicy" to them, especially if they add less water. On a 1 to 5 Star spiciness scale, approximately following directions for how much water to add, this might be about 2 Stars (1.7-2.3) – using a local Thai-food scale – which for some people would be "very spicy" for a soup. When I add less water to it, according to the directions, it is of course spicier and more-strongly flavored; but if I add more water to it, closer to the top of the cup (which is not according to the directions), it seems a lot less spicy, and less-strongly flavored. The difference in the amount of water might not seem like a lot, but in a cup, it is. If I had my preference, I would want this to be nearly just as flavorful when following directions but a bit less spicy . As far as spiciness goes, while I love Thai food, and have been eating it for many years, I eat Curries (Red, Green, Panang) at 2.5 Stars, and Noodles (Phad Thai and Phad Siew) at 3/3+, but usually order my soups 1 Star, significantly milder than this one is. For me, this is a bit hotter than I would prefer. If I want this a little bit hotter (like when I add too much water), I might add a touch of hot sauce, or Sriracha (which changes the flavor), or powdered Cayenne pepper (to affect the flavor less). Sometimes I will add spices, just to change it up a bit. After going through a few cases of this, I am still not used to the spiciness. Still, I love it!
