Very Nice sandwich toaster, it heats up fast and has 1 green and 1 red light on the top to let you know when it is at temperature. It has a good depth to it to get more filling in your sandwich and the plates are fairly big not like some sandwich toasters I have used in the past..so you don't get much crust overhanging just minimal. It toasts the sandwich quite quickly and the colour of the bread is a nice even golden brown with a good crispness to it (nothing worse than a soggy sandwich) It is very easy to clean even if cheese has leaked out and gone crispy on the plate you just wipe it and there is no stickiness, When you click the handle closed for toasting it can be a little tough but then I did put a lot of filling in my sandwich so wasn't really an issue... overall very pleased with this toaster and one of the best I have used

Excellent value for money and doesn't take all that long to get up to temperature. I find it extremely easy to clean despite some folk saying otherwise. I usually use some kitchen towel and wipe the plates down when it's cooled a little but still warm to remove the butter/grease. Seems a solid build quality for the money and there's a nice little cable tidy thing on the rear to reduce some cable length when not used. Makes excellent toasties and could end up being pretty addictive lol. If on a budget then this is an excellent alternate to the pricier Breville toasters.

Heats up quickly. I usually leave it for the light to go off twice not once for a properly toasted sandwich so it takes a good few minutes to cook but it comes out perfectly cooked inside and out then. I use a spead on the outer backs of the bread for optimal toasting and flavour. There’s no switch so you do turn it on and off at the mains but that’s pretty normal for sandwich toasters. I wipe it over with some kitchen roll for and then put sone white vinegar on some kitchen roll and give it a quick wipe over once cool to removed and grease or residue remaining and that seems to work perfectly to keep it clean and in good condition . For context of filling capacity and bread type, I have found that ‘extra thick’ bread does not work as I can’t close it and even after much pushing to force it shut without burning myself, I fear it may snap the latch. The ‘Thick’ toastie bread (not extra thick) is fine. Like many others, I can’t find a loaf of bread that fits, I’ve tried all makes of toastie bread they all come up too small in comparison to the grill plate for perfectly sealing the bread so you have to be careful removing it as it may fall apart (open up) so try carefully/gently angle a plastic or wooden (not metal it’ll scratch) spatula style instrument all the way under it to lift it out in one piece to avoid it separating. For filling volume - I can fit the equivalent of 2 cheese slices and 2 slices of ham (not wafer) in with thick bread before it starts to struggle and not close. Hopefully that gives an idea of the filling capacity.

This toastie maker is of good quality and value. It's deep filled, cuts the toastie in half, and leaves a nice pattern on it. No struggling in closing the maker and easy to clean. You need large sliced bread, I haven't found the perfect size bread but after trying various brands of bread I found Roberts thick sliced to be the most compatible.

I had to change my Breville toaster which was working properly and it is a great toaster maker, some people said it is the best ever toaster maker they had????? But it is let down by a manufacturer's design fault with the locking clasp being of poor quality and flimsy. It needs a crew and a spring-type mechanism to keep the two sides together. BUT, the spring got dislodged quite often, and it is a pain to put it back together again AND to keep it that way. Who had this GENIUS idea? I could understand the issue on a cheap toaster maker, but not on a £40.00 price tag. So after research, I decided to buy a Sensiohome which has a better review than the Breville and is cheaper. It has a very simple locking clasp mechanism and uses a supermarket full slice of bread comfortably, which the Breville does not. Yes, the Breville has the plates removable for washing and it's reasonably quick to heat up, great. But is it worth £20.00 more than the Global Gourmet by Sensiohome Sandwich Toaster, especially with a manufacturer's locking claps design fault and not being able to use a full size of bread? Well done Sensiohome to have made a great sandwich toaster at a great price.

I did not keep this item. It looked good, However the top piece was unstable, and the catch would not hold. Small piece of black plastic
