Fantastic new book about bird photography. Written for everyone, not just experienced birders and photographers, very accessible. Plenty of pictures of common backyard birds from both the east and west coasts, shown as you will actually see them, and not in the formal style of most bird guides. And did I mention that the photographs are absolutely gorgeous?Mr. Tekulsky is a renowned nature writer and photographer (some of his photographs have been included in the official Yosemite guide, as well as many gallery shows and museum collections). To ensure that the book is not over dry, he includes many personal experiences along with extensive technical information. I truly believe that anyone with an interest in birds or nature photography will enjoy this beautiful book.

This book keeps me interested in learning bird photography

I wanted tips, hints, expertise on photographing birds. This is more of a life with birds from the author. A few tips here and there, but not worth buying the book. A photography book is so much more helpful!

Used for bird photography. Very easy and timely order

This book is not bad, but a bit disappointing. The author is very enthusiastic about birds but the title led me to believe that it would have more photos or diagrams on actual backyard set-ups for inviting birds in. I have been into photography for 45 years so I don't care much about the technical side. I was hoping for lists of plants and feeders as well as backdrop ideas for making outdoor bird "studios".
