Makes a good casserole.
This is just a sauce, but with few additives. I use it as a base for a seafood (shrimp and/or scallop) casserole. There is no discernible lobster in the sauce/soup. Just flavor. I am happy with this purchase.

Tastes like a Colbert "Meanwhile" segment. Guess I'll feed it to the raccoons.
Tastes like they soaked lobster shells in water with whatever bits of meat was left clinging to the shell. Extremely disappointed in the quality of this product.

Not what I expected. Add some tomato soup, cream, spices and butter - then it would be fantastic.
I was expecting some tomato or butter in the bisque, like I've had in a restaurant 1000 times before. But it's not that type of bisque. (not a soup, more like a 'lobster only' additive you'd find in a recipe or something - like a thick broth, but otherwise not something I'd order at an establishment as a main course soup/meal.). It was good to eat, just not something I'd pay that much for again. (Their sardines are amazing though, I'll be ordering those again!)

Disappointed
I was so looking forward to Bar Harbor Lobster Bisque. I was expecting to find a little lobster but it seems that it had all been strained out. I remember some sherry too. There was no visible lobster and the flavor was just so-so. Sorry, I will not order any more.

Do not buy. It's watery not creamy. It has a decent taste but it's not bisque

Didn't live up to the name.
I was attracted by the name, but alas I must be honest it did not live up to the name in my opinion. The taste was okay, and that is the best thing I can say about it. The flavor could have and should have been better. Forget about looking for any real chunks of lobster, because there are none. There were just very small and tiny shreds of lobster. This is not a hearty lobster bisque for sure. My suggestion, save your money.

I made a sauce with the Lobster Bisque to go over shrimp enchiladas. A big hit at my dinner table.
