MEWANT Hand-Stitched Black Artificial Leather Steering Wheel Cover Wrap for BMW 5 Series E39 1999-2001 / M3 1998-1999 / Z3 E36/8 2000 2001 2002

When this arrived and I sized it up against the steering wheel I figured there was no way it was going to fit and returned it for a replacement. Exactly the same thing arrived a few days later. After some research I found that these need to be stretched, quite a bit in my case in order to fit on the steering wheel. That probably should be the first point in the instructions. There was no indicator which side is the front and which is the rear but I was able to figure that out based on the cutout sections that get pushed into different parts of the trim - pretty straightforward. I also didn't put the double sided tape all over the wheel as I have seen in some instructions. I opted instead to put it only around the spokes and areas where the material might sit high when stretched. That worked a charm and made the stitching process a little easier. I did not take the steering wheel off but did have to continue to turn the wheel as I worked in order to see what I was doing. Lastly, I found that I had to go around and tighten the thread about 5 times to get it really snug on the wheel. All in all this was about 4 hours of work from start to finish for someone who has never done this before.The overall material looks good, the threads are strong, ample thread is provided and stitching it together was pretty straightforward. The kit comes with everything that you need. Time will tell how it wears - but for right now I'm happy with it.

I own 4 classic V8 BMW's(e34, e38, e39, e53 4.6) have had a total of 7 different steering wheels needing attention. Each wrap was easy to install once directions are followed. Look and feel great once installed. I needed a custom job for my E36 M3 Mtech 3 spoke wheel, MeWant got right on it for the same price.I'd recommend these to anyone, have already done so to my friends.

First I had troubles fitting the cover onto my steering wheel, and the installation wasn’t clear at all. It is very hands on. I reached out to customer service and they sent me more in depth videos of the installation.However, once installed it looks awesome! Please go for the synthetic leather option. It is super smooth tot he touch and again, it looks awesome with the blue stitching.

I am honestly very surprised at the fantastic quality of this wrap. I was worried when I first ordered it, rest assured the product has left me very content. Keep it up amigos!
