Amazon Basics Treadmill Mat and Exercise Equipment Floor Protector

Works great on my hardwood floors under my elliptical, which was previously on carpet. Prior to receiving the Amazon Basics Treadmill Mat the elliptical was on cloth to protect the hardwood, but the elliptical moved as I used it. It stays put now, and my floor is protected. The mat laid flat shortly after it was unrolled with the elliptical sitting on it. I also find my electric sweeper easily removes any dust or debris. I have a sensitive sense of smell, and was happy to discover there is no bad smell.

This mat is thick just the right size to fit under my wife’s elliptical machine. My only preference would be that it be made of harder material. It’s very flexible and soft which results in a lot of unwanted rocking of the elliptical.

This product is much thicker and larger than a competing product - this cost only 50% more but weighs 200% more. There are mats that are thicker but I do not think they can offer anywhere close to the same value for my money

I purchased this mat a few weeks ago since I am now working out at home due to the pandemic. I've used it nearly every single day. I do a lot of HIIT and circuit training so I sweat a lot and didn't want to sweat all over my house or ruin my floors. I was using my yoga mat, but I was damaging it with my shoes. So I bought this and its exactly what I was hoping for. It is wider and slightly longer than a yoga mat, has a coated, textured surface that allows for gripping without my shoes getting stuck. It has some padding too so it absorbs some shock when doing jump squats, etc. It is easy to wipe clean and rolls up easily so I can store it in my closet when not in use.
