Heroic Cosmic Warrior!
Like Man-At-Arms, He-Ro here is among my favorite good guys in the Classics line. I love everything about him, his staff, armor, cape, circlet, everything; especially his blue, starry Power Sword which just feels so 1980s. All in all, he has a very princely, regal appearance. You can still buy He-Ro for pretty cheap (around $40 or so), and I'm surprised for several reasons. First off, this is the first He-Ro figure ever released (sadly, the He-Ro prototype from the doomed Powers of Grayskull line never made it to toy shelves back in the day), he was an SDCC exclusive (offered in limited quantities at the convention before he was offered online) and there are several variants of him (green stone, purple stone, red stone, etc.) and it kills me not knowing which color of stone I have, but I'm not willing to open him to find out. It's probably the common stone, the green one I think. I'm also itching to see if my figure has the SDCC logo on the chest under the armor since the figure I bought is reported to have been picked up at the convention...I suppose I'll never know for sure. He-Ro's accessories are his Power Sword, Magic Staff and removable Armor.

While a bit of a dull back story
An actual character from the 1980's He-Man mythos, just one that never made it to production until now. The original bearer of the power sword, basically. While a bit of a dull back story, the sculpt of the figure is well done; great facial and body detail and well-painted armor. The glittery blue power sword is a bit odd, but overall I like the character and I am glad I have added him to my sizable MOTU collection. Is he a required purchase? Probably not as he held no significant role in the series cartoons and thus lacks the nostalgia value, but as a generally good character, yes. Buy one if you want the complete collection!

motu clasics he-ro
the main character from the 1987 unproduced power of grayskull line[which would've taken place before he-man arrived]gets the royal treatment in a beautifully sculpted figure.the shiny gold armor has a futuristic look to it as he-ro is not a native eternian but from elsewhere who came to ancient eternia to help king grayskull fight hordak and king hisss.he comes with the sword of he which is the real name of what we would know as the power sword done in a translucent blue with white star like specks as well as a staff the prototype figure was to come with back in 87.the top of this staff opens the reveal a magic stone done in one of 3 colors red[the stone of defense]purple[the stone of healing]or green [the stone of protection].however the only way to see what stone you got is to open the figure so mint on card collectors will just have to take a gamble if they want a particular color.this figure is a wonderful toy whose time for many a fan was a long time coming.it opens a new chapter in the masters of the universe mythology showing us who was around during what is called by fans the preternia era[the time before adam and adora became he-man and she-ra] it is a great and heroic looking figure which helps to strengthen the line in general.do add this predasessor to he-man to your collection .

Another piece to add to growing collection. Very Cool!
I'd been waiting a while to pick this guy up, but when I did I was very satisfied. Cape's very stiff, but other than that, he's great!
