LectroFan Evo - White Noise Machine and Non-Looping Fan Sounds with Sleep Timer (White)

I have three of these, and will be getting another when funds allow. They have genuinely helped me deal with the most awful upstairs neighbours. (This is why I have three; when I had one, I was carrying it round with me! Now I have them dotted around strategically.) I am hearing impaired but can hear low frequencies - like the bass and thumping from upstairs. Drowning out bass is difficult, but there are a variety of sounds at different frequencies in this machine and the trick is to find one that matches the frequency you are trying to disguise. If, for example, you have someone living above you that plays music with amplified bass, and they also shriek, you may find two machines useful (one to match the bass, one to match the shrieking). I find the continuing hum of the machines very quickly settles into the background and is far easier to ignore than noise from upstairs. These machines are tiny (10cm, see picture) and they need to be plugged in. The cord on the white machine is white, with a USB at the end, but the supplied USB plugs in all of mine have been black. This is annoying at this price point, but the overall quality of the machine more than makes up for it.

Saved me from noisy neighbours! My neighbours seem to like firing up between 10pm-1am and was ruining my sleep and having a knock on effect to the rest of my life. I use the Brown noise setting and it has absolutely changed my life, I’ve started to look forward to going to bed again and sleeping through the night. If you are having similar issues I would not hesitate to get one. It may take a little getting used to at the start but doesn’t take long for it to feel normal. Would recommend.

I've tried quite a few and read every review. I wanted the loudest and if you want to loudest and the best variety of sounds. Look no further! Omg this, as originally when I first bought I was a mother of a baby and an older child and a noisy husband living in a small flat THIS has saved my sanity! It's been years My baby is now 4. But be warned you will never live without it you will never sleep anywhere again without it . Lol it's embarrassing but I need it to sleep now. It will save your marriage in so many ways. Annoying partner, Snoring keeping you awake? GONE! loud Neighbours banging around upstairs? Gone! Honestly if this broke down I'd breakout in a sweat thinking about the night ahead..so I actually bought a back up!!! I love it so much. From my research it's the only one that can go as loud as this does. But you can chose the beautiful lower levels. my husband is a snorer and one of my children shouts out in his sleep I'm a light sleeper and this has really helped me sleep better. It travels the world with us great for hotels when your kids sharing room and you can use the balcony without waking them . I even took this to hospital after my last baby was born so I could sleep thru the noise of being on a ward..... Well that's a funny story. Nurses desperately checking ward equipment for the strange low grade noise.... Morto. Once you use this you will never look back... Or leave home without it.

I live in a flat which is surrounded by external traffic/people noise. I tried to convince my landlord to install 'secondary glazing' (an extra layer of glass over the double glazing) but to no avail (of course they weren't going to invest!). So, luckily I discovered these white noise machines and I can honestly say the 'LectroFanEVO has made a great difference - it has pretty much buffered out the standard noise as best as it can (will always hear loud sirens, fireworks etc). I have it plugged into my computer when I'm working at my desk, and plugged into the wall next to my bed when I sleep. No way can I NOT have this little machine running now in the flat! However - for me it wasn't entirely perfect (though almost). You have two different sound options; 'wave' effect, and 'fan' effect. Each mode has different a different tone/pitch. I realise the 'wave' sound(s) aren't any good for me as I need a constant sound. This isn't an issue, as I just use the 'fan' option instead. Again for me, there is literally just the one 'fan' sound I can use (out of how ever many is programmed into it). I tested them all but the only sound I could agree with is the lowest, bass sound. I kinda find the others too distracting for being in the background. The result is that I purchased this white noise machine for just one of the sounds, though that sound is really all I need... until I may get 'sick' of it (I really hope not). Lastly, I think a level indicator for the volume would have been handy if they could have incorporated it somewhere. Overall, this is a lifesaver for me and I'm glad I did a bit of research into these machines before buying!

I have noisy neighbours and I'm a light sleeper so I've now put a white noise machine each in bedroom, living room and study to create a soothing environment at the click of a button. Maybe that makes me a weirdo but I sleep much better, and no longer get interrupted when home working or reading a book so it's been worth every penny. I have 3 different machines: this one, which was the most expensive and is probably my favourite because it has the non-looping wave sounds for sleeping, the next model down which is very good if you just want regular white noise not wave sounds, and a machine around the £30 mark which is fine but you can hear that the speaker isn't as good quality.

Really works. I didn't believe it would. I've loud neighbour's and when I've the machine on I dont hear them . I turn it off every so often to double check they are there....and they are so back on it goes :). It has saved my sanity.

I have a neighbor below me who makes a lot of disturbing sounds (he has a health condition) which made it stressful for me. Even though I ran a loud fan all day I could still hear it. This machine has been a lifesaver. While the noise level i use is quieter than the fan, it blocks out the sound from below. It's been a life changer

I wasn't sure if the amount I was spending on this product would be worth it, but I have to admit I was wrong. This has been a real gamechanger for my sleep, a while ago I received a new downstairs neighbour who is incredibly loud at night, parties on weekdays and such. I used to run a fan to have something to filter out the noise, but sometimes not even that would deal with it all. This thing however has managed to help me a ton, I am able to sleep far more easily now.

Works great and as intended. Great variety of sounds and options for modulation. Only improvement would be more "nature-simulating" sounds, since two is a bit limited.

I have cat-induced insomnia. My cat meows besides the bedroom door until I wake up in the middle of the night. She gets enough food before bed and again in the morning, she’s been checked by the vet, she has plenty of toys, but still, she meows for attention. She isn’t allowed to sleep inside the room for other reasons (plus she would still meow at me even if she was inside). I’m not a person who can fall back asleep easily once completely awake. I start becoming anxious and thinking about things, and next thing you know, hours have gone by! It was getting to the point where I slept less than 5 hours a night most of the time. I thought I would go insane. I tried a lot of things before this sound machine. I wore high-quality, silicone earplugs. I left the fan on. I tried to put foam on the bottom of the door to block sound. Nothing was enough to muffle my cat’s meows enough for me to sleep through them! I didn’t have high hopes for this, even though I read through a lot of the good reviews before buying it. I always thought sound machines would only be as effective as a fan. When I tried this out, I first tried the fan setting because I liked how that one sounded. Then I tried the white noise setting and that one actually worked a lot better to muffle the cat noises. I think she’s even stopped meowing most nights now because I don’t respond to it anymore. The machine gets loud and I turn it up high. I still sleep with earplugs in, or else the sound would be too loud. The combination of the machine and earplugs are enough for me to sleep through disruptive noises, even as a light sleeper! If you’re worried about your alarm, if you keep it right next to your bed you should be fine. I tested alarms on my phone to see if I could still hear them loud enough, and I could! It might be an issue if you keep your alarm further away though. I haven’t experimented much with this machine because the setting I have it on with the white noise already works so well. You can adjust the volume to your liking. The sound travels up and helps to fill the whole space you’re in, rather than just occupying a single corner. The machine is also super small which I wasn’t expecting, and that’s great because it’s light, portable and not clunky. I worried where I was going to put it until it arrived and I saw how small it is!! Overall, if you suffer from noise-induced insomnia, or if you just need some comforting background noise to help you fall asleep, you need to try this little machine! If your cat is extra loud at night, then you especially need to give this a try. I’m so glad I found this!
