SMUGDESK Office Desk Home Chair

This chair was perfect...for 5 months before the back pulled away from the cheap wood panel hidden under the seat. Now, I'm 180lbs and by no means a "big guy" so I was surprised to find myself laying on the floor with a broken chair beneath me.Did I abuse the chair? Nope. Did I assemble it incorrectly? Nope. I actually had to return the first unit I bought because they forgot to include that rather important post that connects the seat to the seat to the base.Now, prior to the utter collapse of the unit, I was very pleased...right up until I hit the floor.

This chair is great but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR PEOPLE WITH BACK PAIN DUE TO HERNIATED OR BULGING DISCS. I purchased this chair for my home office 1. because I LOVE the color and 2. because it had great reviews. Assembly was SUPER EASY! I did it in 20 minutes while intently watching the latest episode of the walking dead so I'm sure if someone actually pays attention you can get it together in 5 minutes.PROS: Style, Color, Price, Great for people without injury. Also it is very supportive of my back when leaning back in the chair and kicking my legs up on my desk to read my boring school books.CON: Only complaints is that for someone as myself with 5 herniated discs it DOES NOT offer enough support when sitting upright, the cushion is good but not enough for my tail bone injury.

This is a great chair and I absolutely LOVE the color! It has 5 casters instead of the usual 4 and appears to be well made, is sturdy and very stable--the clean, modern design is terrific. My only issue was a cut in the seat cushion--rather than having to repack the entire chair (which would be nearly impossible) and ship it back, I requested they simply send me a new seat cushion. The company said they couldn't because Amazon fulfilled the order, but Amazon wouldn't do it either so offered me a discount instead, which I accepted. Rather than allowing the customer to be put in the middle this way, I believe Amazon should have gone to this supplier on my behalf and obtained a new seat cushion for me rather than take the easy way out by giving me a discount. Granted, it didn't cost me as much, but I still have a damaged chair.

I just bought this chair for my daughter and I was completely disappointed. The chair is made from cheap materials. The casters are not high quality at all. The chair moves with difficulty on a hard floor. The "adjustable" armrest is not really adjustable. One can change the space between the armrests during assembly. It is very difficult to tilt the chair even by a 200lb guy. My daughter (70lbs) has no chance. The tilt angle is very restricted and uncomfortable. In addition, a scary noises appear when you tried to tilt back. Finally the seat is made from cheap plastic, cheap foam, etc. I had bought $50 chairs (on-sale) from Office Depot with much better quality.

Just so you know, this chair lasted me ABOUT a year. But the cardboard backing broke and now the chair won't stay upright.And before you think "well he must just be a heavy feller", I'm 6 ft tall and 162 pounds. This chair looks nice, but it's seriously got cardboard in it under the foam. This chair is the worst thing I've ever purchased on Amazon. If Amazon started selling swift kicks in the butt, this chair would STILL be a worse deal. The kick would at least be swift and it would be over.

I've been using this chair for about a month now. I ordered it because I needed a task chair to sit on for a few hours a day while using a computer and the reviews seemed pretty good. Plus I liked the color.Im giving the chair 2 stars because I like the look of it - kind of modern and a nice lime green color.But as far as comfort, it's a complete failure. I'm 6'2" and weigh 178 so I'm not that heavy and in good shape. The seat cushion is very thin and gets uncomfortable very quickly and starts to feel like you're just sitting on a flat surface.But even worse, the mesh on the back of the chair is thin and weak. It's not much better than if you were to stretch a cotton t-shirt across the back of the chair. Not supportive at all. And it has weakened and stretches more easily over the last month. Because the mesh is barely supportive at all, the only thing I feel when leaning/resting on the chair-back is the top part of the black frame, which is extremely uncomfortable, so I find myself trying to avoid leaning back in the chair. After about 45 minutes sitting in this chair, my back is hurting a lot and I have to lie down for a few minutes.I'll most likely throw this chair away in the garbage as soon as I find a replacement.

I bought this chair for my desk at work. It was easy to assemble, durable and comfortable. This is really comfortable to sit in, the only complaint I have is the mesh on the seat. it can be slightly irritating if wearing a dress or skirt because the mesh can scratch the back of your thighs. I really do like the chair, it doesn't lean back too far to make you feel like you're going to fall out of it, it rolls around nicely and I've never had any issues with it flipping, tilting or feeling unstable.

I've used this chair for about eleven months and, while it was new, I would call it exactly "good enough". It wasn't the sturdiest, but it worked well enough for me. However the cushioning on this chair is only about an inch thick. I weigh 130lbs and it took only a couple months to determine that there are two very large rounded screws that stick up about a half inch on the back of the seat. Ten months later, it is literally all I can feel sitting down because the padding is completely gone. A month later, it had to go.My god, how long would it have lasted had I been heavier?
