Great value for money
I picked this tent up recently for a 2 night backpacking trip. Such a great value for $. Previously I’ve used much cheaper Walmart tents. This felt like great quality. I really like the ease of set up and the clips are really unique and easy to use. It packed compactly and was lightweight to carry. The pegs are nice but one did bend when trying to get it into tough ground. I used the ground cloth which I felt kept me warmer, but you could leave this behind if you wanted to lighten the tent. This was very roomy for one person, and I stayed dry in the rain. I would put a second person in a pinch, and would take child along in this. The single entrance really makes it more of a one person tent. I enjoyed the versatility of being able to leave the outside up and removed the inner shell to keep it dry when taking down in the rain. The vestibule was small but kept my boots dry overnight. I slept with my pack inside the tent beside me. Overall a great value for the money and this is a brand I’d like to try more of.

Really good tent, phenomenal value, 2-person is a bit optimistic though...
I purchased this item because I wanted a light tent option for backpack camping, I opted for the 4-season tent vs the 3-season so I could use it in winter if I wanted. First I want to say that "2-person" is a *VERY* optimistic description for this tent, 2 small people maybe, but I'm 6'2" and 210lbs and nobody else is fitting in that tent with me, that said, I don't mind this as I bought it to use as a solo tent, but just keep in mind if you want to use it as a real 2-person tent you may wanna go with the 3 person tent to be safe. The tent is very quick and easy to set up, the supplied footprint will help keep the bottom free from damage longer, the poles are easy to use and the fly is easy to clip on. Despite the fact that there is conflicting information on this tent *IT IS FREESTANDING*. You can layout the groundcloth/floorsaver first, hook the poles into that, then set up the rainfly toss your gear under the rainfly that's been staked out, then set the tent up, then in the morning, take the tent down first, put it in your bag, then take the rainfly down. That's pretty important when backpacking to keep your tent nice and dry, especially since this tent is A LOT of mesh under the fly, alternatively you can just use the floorsaver and fly if you are looking do do that. I tested this tent out in my backyard on a night that wasn't supposed to rain, I put the fly on anyway just to see about airflow and was very comfortable in it, around 3am I woke up to a downpour, the entire inside of the tent stayed dry all throughout the night, so I am confident this tent will do a good job of keeping you dry even though it could be raining pretty hard. The aluminum stakes that come with it are nice as are the high vis reflective guylines. Overall I am very pleased with this tent. I can't really speak on the durability of it because I have not used it enough, but that said it does seem to be constructed very well and I have no doubts that, with the proper care, will last a good long time. Value for the money this tent is pretty hard to beat. If you are just getting into camping/hiking and want to get a good, light tent but not break the bank, this is a pretty good place to start. If you don't plan on ever camping outside of spring/summer/fall save a few bucks and get the 3-season one which is also a bit lighter.

Best on a budget backpacking tent for 2 or even 1 person.
I bought this tent three years ago, and it has proven to be the best value for money in the 2-person backpacking tent category. Performance & Durability: I've taken this tent on multiple backpacking trips to various national parks, and it has held up exceptionally well. It handled both a snowstorm and heavy rain without any issues. For the price, the weather resistance is impressive, as long as you set it up correctly. Design & Portability: Footprint: The small footprint allows for easy setup in tight spaces on the trail. Weight: Light enough for two people to split the load, making it ideal for backpacking. Comfort & Space: While it is technically a 2-person tent, space is tight. It’s fine for sleeping, but don’t expect to sit upright comfortably with two people inside. During a snowstorm, my wife and I lay comfortably watching a movie on our phone that hung from the ceiling of this tent. Final Thoughts: If you're on a budget and need a reliable backpacking tent, this is a fantastic choice. You won’t be disappointed!!

Almost perfect but not quite
This looks like a great tent for backpacking. Not the lightests but light enough, esp for the price. I built it in my living room and was impressed by the quality. The material feels strudy and light to work with. The poles were easy to build and collapse and their assmebly of the tent is fairly easy and quick (took me a minute to figure out the correct alignment but will be faster with experience). However, it had two deal breakers for me. This first is that you have to use the stakes to get the structure on. I sometimes camp at rocky grounds or otherwise uneven surface and don't want to rely on stakes for my tent. The second problem I had with the tent is that the "roofing" is not mesh. I'm not talking about the outer fly, wich is detachable. The roof of the tent's core piece is made of the opaque fabric. This means that a) there's no good ventilation and the inside of the tent can get hot easily. B) u can't see the stars, which I like to do on breezy nights when I don't have to use the outer fly. Sadly, I decided to return the tent and continue my quest for a good backpacking tent for two. One last thing, as I put the tent back in its bags I noticed that unlike other tents is created air bubbles when folded. I had to fold it with the zipper open which I usually prefer not to, otherwise it just turned into a mangled balloon. This made me more certain that my concern about ventilation was in place. Without the zipper open, there was no way for air to go out. I really wanted to love this tent because of all the other good things about it and its quality. It did strike me as being made by a company that understands and cares for backapackers' needs. But, in my view, they missed the mark. If they made small adjustments to fix these issues, I would be very happy to purchase their products.

Very good - probably best for the price.
This tent is excellent - although I had to wrestle between a 4 and 5 star rating. In the end I went with 5 because... it's just so lightweight for the price it's tough to complain. First of all, it weighs 4.7 pounds with EVERYTHING including all stakes, the stuff sacks, and the footprint. You probably could, at max, save maybe 2 or 3 ounces by swapping out the stakes, but that's it. To go lighter than this for a 2p tent you would need trekking poles. Other lightweight tents in this price range will advertise a lower weight than this but it's misleading because they will advertise something under 4 pounds but that's as an UL setup without the inner fly. If you removed the inner fly from this tent it would probably weigh closer to 3 pounds - however if you wanted to be that minimalist you should just learn to pitch a tarp shelter. The tent is very sturdy and very waterproof. I don't think I'd go so far as to call this a 4 season tent, as it does not really keep warm on the inside, but it does stay very dry. It's also incredibly easy to set up - maybe 5 minutes - 10 minutes max if you are new to pitching tents. Really cool feature is the way the fly, inner fly, and footprint fit into each other. There are clips on the 4 corners - male on the outer fly and female on the inner fly and footprint so you can clip the outer fly to either depending on whether or not you're using the inner fly. The tent poles fit through and connect to both the footprint and the inner fly at the same time. My only complaint about the tent is there aren't enough pockets on the inside of the tent. There is one small pocket up above the flap - but no side pockets or hanging shelf in the middle. There is a hook to hang a tent light or something - that's about it. Like I said though - hard to complain given the simplicity and light weight of the tent.

Perfect tent as a one-person tent at an incredible price
I have several tents but I took this 2-person tent on a solo backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon, and it worked perfectly as a spacious 1-person setup. It was easy to pitch, lightweight to carry, and held up really well against the elements. 20D is a better material than 15D or 10D in my opinion as it's more rain resistant and durable in harsh conditions. For solo hikers looking for a little extra space without adding much weight, this tent is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

Great tent at a highly competitive price
I just received the tent, which appears to be very well made. All the seams and stitching are constructed to a high standard, and the tent is very easy to put up. It also comes with its own ground sheet which provides for additional protection on rough surfaces and extra insulation. As a person of 6,2” I particularly like the overall room and sitting hight the tent provides and the fact it is self standing is a plus. My expectation is it should do well in wind and rain. The packed weight of about 4lbs, including the ground sheet, which is very good, as I plan to use the tent for bike packing. I did a lot of comparative research before I bought the tent and for the features and price it’s very hard to beat. Finally, this is an upgraded model to a tent that’s been on the market for a long time with great reviews.

Great little tent!
I used this on segment 6 of the Colorado Trail in September. This is a 30+ mile segment of the legendary trail across CO. The first night we camped above 11,000 feet. It was a little windy but not bad, but it was definitely cold. The tent is super light and packable. It's easy to set up and I found it very roomy for a single person (I'm 5'9 150lbs so not a big guy). If you want this for 2 people as many other reviews rightly state it will be a very tight fit, but definitely doable for smaller bodies. I would suggest only buying this for singles (and a dog). The "porch" of the tent is really helpful as you can stick your bag inside to keep it out of the rain. My trip was dry so I can't provide any report on waterproofing at this point. So far I am very happy with this tent given the price and the stated weight which is accurate. Hard to find a tent this lightweight at a reasonable cost.
