Holds a post in place above a slab and looks nice at the same time. That said, it is not a beginner's best friend. Understand how it works. Take careful measurements. Drill accurately. And: I won't recommend this... But I used a chainsaw for the slot in the post! I am very happy with the results. There's a little learning curve on drilling the holes, but once you get it........
