Before my purchase, I took a deep dive into all the reviews, good, bad and horrible. However, I am a long-time user of Braun epilators so I was able to discount all the reviews dealing with pain and all the reviews dealing with not pulling out much hair. If you are new to epilation, you will have to accept that you will feel the hair yanking out. Some experience this as pain, others as a sharp pull but bearable. My experience after so many years of epilation is that it is not all that painful. You adjust and it becomes just another annoyance on the way to achieving your goal of softer, smooth hairless skin. My current Braun is “huge” compared to this product. As a result, it is not particularly easy to remove hair from my lip. It works for my chin but using it is like using large scissor when what you really want is a small cuticle scissor. Sorry if the analogy is lousy. The point is that the area of my face that I want to target: my lip, under and over my eyebrows, the edge of my nose, and my chin does not require the larger, heavier Braun. After using FaceSpa Pro for a couple of weeks, I am totally satisfied. It lets me do these areas, even allows me to remove one or two single stubborn hairs on my lip that were so difficult to reach easily with the Braun Silk Epil. Now, as to how effective it is — it removed every hair I targeted and these hairs are partly coarse and partly very fine. Looking in a standard mirror, they are not always easy to see. However, my magnifying mirror shows every miserable last one of them. It is important to me to NOT remove fine silky barely noticible hair. The small epilator head on the FacialSpa Pro, allows me to target only what I wish to remove and leave the rest of my face alone. Finally, the hair seems to grow back quite slowly. I will have to revisit this comment in a few more weeks. But right now, the hair I removed has not yet grown back. Someone said their skin was getting caught in the epilator head. That did not happen to me. I curl my upper lip over the lower and I use my tongue to tighten the skin below my lower lip — no problems with either area. To do my brows, I hold the epilator in one hand and use two fingers to spread the skin in the target area. Works just fine. By the way in case any of you think I am young with tight young skin, think again. I am 73 and I wish! My final comment is that I love the charging process. The FacialSpa Pro is a hand-held and is used without the charge cable. The charge lasts long enough for me to do what I need to do so I have no complaints there either. In summary, I could not be happier with this product. For me, it is perfect.

This product does exactly what it is supposed to do and it works really well. I wish I had known about this 20 years ago! It does have small tweezers that pulls out hair. It does hurt a bit but not so much. Kind of like a small prick. I mean it is plucking your hairs out. However, it works really, really well for my face. I have blonde fine peach fuzz on my face and a few coarser hairs are starting to pop up on my chin. It works really, really well on the face. But here is some advice.. 1. Don't push too hard or it can catch your skin and really hurt. I did this but realized I was pushing too hard. Just gently glide the tip across the area. Make sure you are not putting pressure on the skin. 2. If you are working on sensitive areas you can buy a numbing cream here at Amazon. I didn't need any on my face. It was slightly prickly when doing some fine areas around the mouth. But if you were using on inner thigh/bikini area I would definitely use a numbing cream. This is what they would do at a salon so save yourself a bit of strife. 3. This product has a small tip that is perfect for the face and smaller areas like between eye brows, around mouth, chin, neck. If you need to do larger areas I'd buy the product with the larger head. In fact, I am going to buy another Braun epilator with a wider head to do my legs, as I love this product! 4. If you have lighter skin and darker hair I'd strongly advise that you go to a salon and get LASER hair removal. It works awesome. I've used it in bikini areas. it is much less painful than an epilator and I think it works better at permanent hair removal/reduction. I was not able to use laser hair removal on my face or legs since my hair is very, very light. Laser hair removal does not work with dark skin/dark hair or light skin and light hair (super blonde, red or grey hair). Laser works well when it can "see" the hair - so ideally light skin and dark hair. So, if you have this combo don't use this product go to a salon and get LASER hair removal. You'll be sooooo glad you did it. I am. And ditto on the numbing cream for laser hair removal.

As a woman with PCOS I have been battling the hairs on my face for decades. But the epilators I’ve had for my legs are just too big to work on my face (I’ve gotten my earlobe caught trying to get hairs on my jaw). So, getting tired of 20 to 40 minutes a day plucking my face with tweezers, I have been looking at facial epilators and debating what to try for months. None of them seem to have great reviews, but this one is a name brand with a good reputation and had mostly good reviews so I thought I’d try it. I regret not paying attention to the bad reviews and believing the good ones on this product. As I’ve seen is some of the bad reviews, it’s an epilator that just doesn’t epilate. The heavy and fine hairs just stay in place, even after a dozen passes. The hairs between light & heavy break off and are then very hard to manually pluck because 5he break so close to the skin. I think the issue is that it spins too slowly. I’ve had leg epilators and they all spin much faster than this one. It takes a few passes with leg epilators (on my legs) to get all the hairs, but this takes more than a dozen passes and there are still most of the hairs left. And I still need to manually pluck for about the same amount of time as I did without this epilator. And I have new skin irritation and zits that I didn’t get with a tweezers. I even thought maybe it didn’t charge well enough, and that’s why it spins so slow. It had no charge out of the box so I charged it overnight for the first use, but it was so slow for an epilator, so I charged it longer for the second charge, but it didn’t get any faster. After 3 tries I’ve decided it’s just a bad epilator. For about $120 with tax (what I paid waiting for it to get as low as possible), that’s not worth it. I’m returning it.

I've never written a review for a purchase but felt compelled after using this product for the past 6 months. I have dark hair and along with that comes the hair on my upper lip. Most of my life I've struggled with how to care for it. I've cut it with little scissors and waxed and it was never great but it was managed okay. Then I had a medical situation which required the use of medication which caused my hair on my upper lip to come in thicker and darker - oh my goodness! So embarrassing. I wasn't a candidate for waxing at that time and cutting with scissors was not working. I got onto Amazon and started searching and found this gem. To be clear, it will cause some discomfort and may need to be done in shifts the first few times using it BUT it will remove all the hair! I've never had such a smooth upper lip! I've never felt more confident and only wish I would've known about this thing MUCH MUCH sooner like in my teens (43 now). And you get used to the feeling of the hair removal. It's not a big deal now and I try to do it more often so it's not so many hairs at once. Seriously one of the best things I've purchased! If you need help with upper lip hair, this is it!

This is an interesting, and powerful product, from a good company. I purchased it for stray, fine, blond facial hair that may be difficult to see or reach. While you can feel its power, removing some hair, it fails in many respects. Therefore it may have some good results but does not always work so well, as a simple tweezer. The massage and soft brush attachments, some may like. But simple face washing and a hand/finger massage work as well or better. It may remove "peach fuzz" which is not really necessary, but otherwise, it is not so efficient. Somewhat disappointing, especially for the high price.

This is not a type of product I would normally buy. My "beauty routine" is showering and putting on clean clothing. I rarely wear make-up. However, I have become unhappy with the impact of facial hair on my skin as I near 40, and I just wanted some way to get rid of it at home for a one-time cost. I am not interested in keeping a stock of razors or creams that I will inevitably get sick of buying. Plus the idea of potentially getting stubble or razor cuts on my face sounds way worse than some fine facial hair. I bought this after some googling and I am really happy with it. It hurt at first, but it's not unbearable. The first time I used it, I did half my face so I could compare, and it really does make for a nice improvement, even for someone who doesn't wear make-up. Just makes my face look clearer and more "put together". There is still some very light, very fine hair on my face, which is fine with me because it looks more natural than being totally smooth and hairless. It easily got rid of the hair around my lips, chin, and "sideburns". I like that you can switch directions on it, to pull hair growing in a different direction. Seems like it will be a very easy device to use every week, or so, for quick maintenance. Don't know if I will ever use the other attachments, but I feel like I'm getting my money's worth, especially if it lasts for a few years. I will post if it breaks or has issues with reliability.

I love the epilator head and it still works extremely well but unfortunately as you can see the facial cleansing brush stopped working after only a few weeks, I received it on October 21st and it is now November 15th but it had stopped working very quickly after I purchased it. I am hoping they can send me a new attachment or device so I can change my 3 star review to a 5 star review. I have been combating facial hair since I was about 14 years old and it is very thick and coarse. They come in as little black dots and soon as I see them I want to get rid of them and they are too short for me to wax. I am a cosmetologist so I need to have my hair and makeup done everyday for work and I used to be so self conscious that my clients could see hairs coming in above my lip or on my neck chin or sideburns. I had no idea what an epilator even was until I seen one in a YouTube video. So that same day spent hours searching amazon for which one I wanted to purchase. This device completely changed my skin. I no longer have to shave or deal with ingrown hairs and acne along my cheeks and and jawline have drastically dissipated. Even the hairs that the epilator will not pull out, it grabs them out enough for me to be able to pluck them. The facial brush is very important to me as well. Since I do have to wear makeup everyday and I have acne prone skin I need something in my regimen powerful enough to be able wash away all my makeup before I use the Braun facespa pro facial massage head to apply my serums and other skincare products. I am thinking about purchasing the Braun body epilator as well that comes with the bigger facial cleansing brush device..., but before I do that I still would like to get my facespa pro working again because it is so convenient, I only need to pack one skincare device to travel with. 10/10 would recommend this for anyone with facial hair they are combating but if you are looking for a good cleansing brush you may want to purchase a different one
