Good Value, no track record yet for battery life

The battery worked fine during the Amazon return period, just like a Dewalt. But a week after the return window closed, I stuck it in my saw and about 2 sec into the cut, everything just went dead. So I swapped it out with one of my Dewalt batteries and finished the job. About 15 minutes later I tried the battery again, thinking it would reset and it was still dead. So I stuck it on the charger. The lights flashed as normal and it eventually showed a full charge. Now I'm at the end of the day and I just tried the battery again and it is still dead. I'm not sure what else to try. It's been over a week and still no sign of life in it. I've tried contacting the company via email and their website support page for warranty but with no reply's. I was almost ready to buy a couple more batteries, but I will be rethinking that purchase. Amazon sent me a link to a survey about how well the support went. I gave them the negative news. I'm not sure what good that did? Just my experience so far. -Jack

Fit my hand tools perfectly. Glad I could find replacement batteries instead of having to replace the tools I always utilize.

I bought two to try. I see allot of negative reviews but I don't have any complaints after moderate use and several cycles. I'll be back to change my review if anything goes south. I refuse to replace all my DeWalt tools because DeWalt glommed out and changed the battery design. I don't see it not being economical to try these even if you get an occasional dud. I don't do 9-5 Pro work anymore. I am only a home gamer now, so I cannot even speculate on longevity. As for smoking that would be unacceptable. I disassembled one and forfeited my warranty but I had to see the guts. I was unhappy to see only 5 cells (as shown in image), but I was kind of impressed with the controller. The battery does prove to be a solid 18 v with a reading of They seem to be able to run at high discharge as the DeWalt reciprocating saw will stress even OEM batteries. I have to say, what I do like the most about them is there a very light and that makes them great for when doing any overhead work. I don't notice a huge difference in run time and they fit the tools very well. I think I might actually rather have 10 of these than 6 DeWalts. Anyway you really don't have a choice anymore. These are what I am very happy that I don't have to buy a whole new cordless tool set. Shame on you DeWalt.

It is compatible with Dewalt

I wrote this the following in January 2020: I bought 4 of these batteries in the past was a bit miffed when one of them went out. When I looked up when I bought them so I could contact the company about their defective batteries, I found that it had been 3 years! This is longer than the OEM battery life. So rather than complain, I purchased more. The only thing that would make these batteries better is if they were available in a higher amp-hour rating. Please keep making these so I can gladly buy more in another 3 years! Mid 2020: I ordered another pair of batteries in January which then lasted only a few months. Amazon warranty sent me another pair. October 2020: Now, here it is less than 6 months after receiving the replacements & they are both dead! They are still within the original 1 year warranty. Too bad the newer batteries aren't of the quality they were several years ago. I contacted the regular amazon customer service chat folks & was told that there was nothing they could do since these were warranty replacements. They gave me an email address ([email protected]) to check with to see if there is anything they can do. I'm waiting for a response. If I receive on that either gets me a refund or replacement batteries I'll update this review. Otherwise I'll see if I can find a different brand battery to purchase.

I have a number of 18 volt DeWalt tools that work fine, but batteries eventually wear out. DeWalt no longer makes 18 volt batteries, so need to purchase after-market batteries. Tried another brand that had an over-sized battery and had trouble removing from tool. Found these batteries and they fit perfectly, 4" long x 3" wide, same as original. Also lighter than oversized battery. Have had for a month and works as expected, recharges as expected. Appears to be durable.

At first appearance I thought it was lighter than the original dewalt battery.after using it I was very satisfied with the longevity of the charge and power for the price.only downfall of this product is that one of the batteries I purchased went bad on me one week after the return deadline . now I just hope that the other battery holds up to my use which is just household uses.if not I'll be back here with another review.

Ordered this in November 2023...worked when it arrived and charged up. Sat for a while unused and now when I pull it out to use it and charge it up (May 2025). The battery is totally dead and will not take a charge. Complete waste of money
