Superb performance!
I am beyond satisfied with the performance and power delivery of this specific Ingersoll Rand 1/2 drive pneumatic air tool. It is not too heavy or strenuous to the wrist or to your hand, great pistol like grip which makes it easy to hold firmly. I will admit though it is a bit loud, not as loud as the Thunder Gun but it is a bit noisy for some of my co-workers at work. I was going to opt for the 2235QTiMax but opted for this instead for the extra 50 foot lbs totaling out to 1350 foot lbs breakaway nut busting torque opposed to the quiet one being 1300 foot lbs breakaway nut busting torque. Then again I am bearing the noise for now for that extra power. Overall, great quality tool and power delivering 1/2 drive air impact. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good air impact tool at a very very reasonable price and that in the long run, it will definitely be worth the buy. Great job Ingersoll Rand.

Very strong torque. Impressive value.
Used this impact to remove the dreaded crank pulley on a Honda J35 series engine. I had broken the internal pulley area with a 5 foot breaker bar after heating with a torch. This thing took the bolt out in four seconds at around 90 psi. My guess is that the impacting hammers internally have a tremendous mass to them and contributed to this impact being an absolute juggernaut. Build quality has me wondering if I'm looking at the last impact that I will buy in my lifetime. I'm impressed that much. It looks good and sounds like a race car. Wear hearing protection if you want to save your ears.

AWESOME!
I had a cheap impact for years. My wife said I don’t know why you waited so long. This gun is powerful. Hands down the best impact I have ever used. I don’t really like the terms they ask you to use. Is it lightweight? Is it ergonomic? Value for the money? It’s an impact! It is going to be a little weighty. It is a pistol grip so yes I guess it’s ergonomic. As far as value for the money. What is your time worth to you! I just put an entirely new front and rear suspension in my car and it literally took half the time. Is it worth the price DEFINITELY! This gun eats rusty bolts for lunch!

Quality
The TiMax is the best 1/2 inch impact I ever owned. Good control, lighter weight, plenty of power. It does respond to a larger airhose.

Worth every penny. Quiet. Strong. Efficient
I am an hobbiest mechanic. I have 3 jeeps I maintain and a car. I do gear instals and suspension builds on the side, occasionally. Have been using/struggling with an old Handed-down CH impact for years. It finally gave up the ghost. I bit the bullet and spent a little extra on this impact. I used for the 1st time today to change over four 8 lug rimmed tires. I swear I thought it was broken at 1st because it barely makes any noise and sure seems like it is barely working. That was furthest from the trurh. With my old impact I would have to break the lug's loose 1st with my four-way lug wrench. Then the impact could move the next. When installing notes I used to have to check all of them afterwards it makes for there were tight enough come out by hand. Did a test on how tight it gets the lugs; on number 3 out of 4 it gets lugs as tight or tighter than I can get with my 4 way wheel lug wrench. Pretty sure this thing will last me the rest of my life. Very happy where the purchase. As an added bonus, I tested out Its efficiency by using the onboard air compressor system in my Jeep.. With my old impact, this was pointless; I wouldn't power the gun. With this new gun, it works as well as when it's hooked up to my shop compressor. This impact is super powerful and super efficient at the same time!

Adequate power for prosumer.
I bought the 2235TiMAX 1/2” for home shop use, not professional use. One of the tasks it has made much easier is removing an axle nut using a 60mm 3/4" drive socket on a KTM Superduke 1290 R that has a single sided swing arm. The axle nut has thin 1/4" wide flats and the specified torque is 150 ft/lbs. Prior to this purchase I had to use a meter long breaker bar with one foot placed on the rear brake, while facing rearwards and pushing on the breaker bar. The 2235TiMAX took literally a half second to loosen the axle nut and never got anywhere close to the max 300 rpm before the nut was spun loose. Some reviewers have mentioned the hog ring retainer on the anvil as making it difficult to either put attachments on or take them off, and the hog ring itself becoming loose and falling off. I agree, this isn't something I'd like if I was changing sockets sizes often. There are two models that Ingersoll-Rand sells in the 2235TiMAX 1/2'" drive series that have a pin retainer anvil, instead of a hog ring anvil. The models are the 2235PTiMAX https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074QRFYXD/ref=emc_b_5_i and the Quiet version, 2235QPTIMAX https://www.amazon.com/Ingersoll-Rand-2235QPTIMAX-Nut-busting-Hammercase/dp/B08KT7L2G7 In my opinion those models would be better for professional use and if I had known about those models prior to my purchase I would have probably paid the extra $$. I'm impressed with the torque, build quality seems ok, but I cannot comment on durability as I haven't used it much.
