I love this stuff! I've used their paints before for numerous projects but never this. I'm so glad Amazon had this product in their offerings as I've never seen it before. It performed perfectly. Try it, it will not disappoint! Super, great price, too, for such a large bottle.

I purchased this to give a hard, waterproof finish to alcohol ink metal washer pendant necklaces. I normally use a spray but the weather won't cooperate so I thought I'd try this. I've been using Folk Art finishes for 30+ years but had never used this one before. For my use, it was acceptable in level of gloss and hardness. I'm not pleased with the fact that it is not self leveling so I removed a star for that. I certainly would not want to brush a finish coat of this on a large smooth surface because it certainly would leave marks. That said, multiple coats do even it out somewhat. It does take some time to dry on initial coats. Successive coats take less time. It also might be important for you to know it does wash out of the brush very well. If using with alcohol ink, a good spray coat of Kamar is needed or the sealer will cause the ink to run. Ultimately I made this product work for my project but I wouldn't purchase again for this use. I have almost all of it left so I'm sure there will be more occasions to try it on other items. If I find a project it excels at I will update the review.

I make outdoor wooden toys for kids and use this over the paint. It has a glossier finish than I expected from satin, but it still works great.

I’m not only use it for the purpose that it’s meant to be used for, but I use it also it with my vacuum robot’s trash bin. I took a new one and painted the cardboard with this and it makes it very hard where I can reuse it constantly. I just empty the bag and put it back on. There’s a little tip for ya!!

It bubbles very easily, especially if you layer the coats. But it’s good if you just need a thin layer.
