Pickled beans
I never had this food before. Tried it for curiosity. It's not my favorite but there was nothing wrong with it. It's savory and has a slight pickled flavor. Might be good as a salad topper or a snack for someone who enjoys pickles. I personally am not a fan of pickles and this has a subtle pickle flavor. It's subtle and I can and will sti eat it. But it's not my favorite. The texture is good. It was a filling snack. Nothing wrong with the quality. Especially if you like that kind of flavor.

Delicious!
I was interested in trying this nutritious snack, so I ordered. It’s delicious! The taste/ texture reminds me of large fermented butter beans.

Awful snack
The only reason I gave it one star is that there is no “no star” category. I took a chance and ordered these because I liked the profile, lots of protein, etc. BUT, after I excitedly opened the package and scooped out a few beans and put them in my mouth and stated chewing. . . Well, folks, I spit it out. It’s the worst tasting, blandest, ickiest, most awful consistency bean I have ever tasted. Allow me to be your royal taster and I am telling you, NO. Don’t even think about it. Dr. Bea

Keyword: pickled.
Listen...these are pickled beans. If you don't like the smell of vinegar you're obviously not going to like the smell of these. But if you like pickled things, these are a yummy little snack! Super nutritious too. GREAT as a salad topper.

Bit too salty!
Beans were bit too hard and salty. This might be good for you health wise, but taste wise, I’m not a fan.

Great source of fiber
Great to see this product out there - such a healthy satisfying snack. Way to get your fiber grams in for the day in a few bites! However, the vinegar flavor in these seems a little off, it's more of a fermented taste instead of vinegar... like a wet sock kind of a smell/flavor. Wish they had a simply salted flavor, or a better tasting vinegar like pickles. The convenience of the packaging is great though, over having to cook them from scratch.

Excellent nutrition profile, taste and texture of a thumb
This product just gets +1 star just for the nutritional profile, just incredible! Protein, fiber, sugar, just off the charts good. Now to the flavor and texture. I read Dr. Bea's review, and went "Oh, they cannot be that bad! Some people, eeesh!" Ok, to assuage your fears, they have the texture of uncooked lima beans and taste like a thumb. I like some healthy but questionable-tasting foods, and this did not cut it. The texture was the first thing to shock me. Only a few foods I've ever just spit out due to the texture with a "Nope, we are not doing this." First raw oysters, then uni (sea urchin), then now this. I've never been so repulsed by a food texture. It's like a fleshy raw lima bean. I don't know why I expected them to be like baked chickpeas, not even on the same planet. If you are "thumb-tasting fleshy lima beans are exactly my thing!" then please, be my guest, enjoy!
