Review: My Favorite Litter - I use this in an automatic cleaning litter box and it worked fantastic. It kept the odor down quite a bit which I was surprised by considering what it is. I didn't notice a whole lot of dust so it's definitely better than other litter and that aspect. I feel like this litter lasted longer than other commercial litters I have bought in the automatic cleaner. So overall it was worth the money because it lasted longer. Color and weight were just like any other cat litter. Review: Lower tracking than previous litters, kept smells at bay - I first bought this litter hoping it would get a stray to use the litter box. This didn’t work for that, nor another brand. What did for him was a bit of soil on top of the litter. He now uses the litter box without the soil. I am using this brand now because I used to use World’s Best Cat Litter Poop Fighter. The lemongrass made the clean litter smell great, but after my cat poops in it, his spicy poo seems to overwhelm the lemongrass. The kitty is adorbs, but his poo is overwhelming. This litter smells nothing of herbs as they claim is in it. I only smell clay. Which isn’t a bad smell. Surprisingly though, it keeps my cat’s poo smell much more neutral. Most of his mess also doesn’t sink to the bottom of the litter box like other litters. It does clump majorly, even for his pee. Some people would think it a waste. It does do a lot less tracking than the corn litter of World’s Best Cat Litter. I haven’t really seen any dust bloom when I pour the litter like some reviews say though. I don’t have any allergies that I know of, and no known for the cat, so I haven’t much to say in that department. Overall, I’m satisfied with this litter for now. It does the things I’m looking for currently – soil smell-neutralizing; no mess sinking to the bottom of the box; low tracking. The price is also a little less than previous litters I bought for the same weight. ## Features - PREMIUM QUALITY: A combination of premium texture and granule size made with 100% bentonite clay for maximum clumping creates litter particles that are just the right size. - HARD CLUMPING: Hard clumping medium grain clay helps prevent moisture from reaching the bottom of the tray and forms hard clumps that won't break down, making it easier to scoop. - LOW DUST & LOW TRACKING: Ideal for cats and owners who suffer from allergies with a 99% dust-free and hypoallergenic litter formulation that helps keep litter in the box where it belongs. - SUPERIOR ODOR CONTROL: Formulated for single or multi-cat households with natural ingredients to keep your home smelling clean and fresh between litter box cleanings. - NATURAL HERBAL ATTRACTANT: Blended with a natural herb attractant, the ideal texture and particle size combine to solve litter box problems by bringing cats back to their litter box. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000PKY7YA | | Best Sellers Rank | #294 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #27 in Cat Litter | | Brand | Dr. Elsey's | | Brand Name | Dr. Elsey's | | Capacity | 40 pounds | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 10,186 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00000338007405 | | Included Components | Cat Litter | | Item Display Weight | 18.14 kg | | Item Form | Granules | | Item Type Name | Cat Litter | | Item Weight | 40 pounds | | Manufacturer | Dr. Elsey's Cat Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | 740 | | Material | Clay | | Material Type | Clay | | Model Number | 740 | | Number of Packs | 2 | | Package Size Name | 40 lb | | Pet Type | Cat | | Scent | Unscented | | Scent Name | Unscented | | Target Species | Cat | | UPC | 721449582321 721449580617 000338007405 | | Unit Count | 640 Ounce | | Warranty Description | Guaranteed litter box use,Toll free customer service number | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Dr. Elsey's - **Capacity:** 40 pounds - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00000338007405 - **Item Form:** Stick - **Item Weight:** 40 pounds - **Material:** Clay - **Scent:** Unscented - **UPC:** 721449582321 721449580617 000338007405 - **Unit Count:** 640 Ounce - **Weight:** 18.14 kg ## Images ![Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract Clumping Clay Cat Litter 40 lb. I cannot got them to get sprayed until the end of the month. Will this work as a temporary** A: Most likely it will not help completely. Spraying is a trait that all cats have as part of their DNA. It is usually more pronounced in males. It tells other cats this is mine..but getting the catneutered should help. And you have to get a product that will get rid of the spray they have done. I have a female cat that at 6 months started acting like a boy. Since I moved and no more feral cats she seems to have stopped. My best advice is for you to check out Jackson Galaxy's web site. He's the guy with the TV show..the cat whisperer. This is something he deals with a lot. Good luck **Q: Does this product help with sudden spraying episodes?** A: My cat was literally no longer using his box at all. He was spraying all over the house. When I moved to an apartment, I knew I had to do something, so I tried this litter. In almost a year, he has sprayed outside of the box three times, and that was in the first few months. He has had ZERO accidents in probably 7 or 8 months. This stuff has been miraculous, in our case. **Q: I currently use Petco Crystal Litter (the white 'salt-like') with blue specks....can I use this with that litter?** A: Hi Debbie. I am not familiar with the litter you use but I will say that I use a pine formula litter with this mixed in & heavily sprinkled over the top. I only do this because I feel the pine really reduces the odors. You may want to check out Cat Attract's other products because I think they sell something that can be sprinkled into litter but not positive on this. I LOVE Cat Attract & I can't recommend this brand enough! It solved all our cat's problems!! **Q: How does the clumping compare to World's Best Cat Litter?** A: We have used both. We do like the World's Best Cat Litter. It clumps just fine. However, one of our older cats stopped using the litter box. We had her checked out by the vet and there was no medical problem, so we researched solutions and decided to try Cat Attract. It has worked beautifully. The difference I noticed is that Cat Attract is much heavier and our cat with a problem likes to scratch and really cover her droppings. She definitely likes Cat Attract. Been using it for about 6 weeks now and no accidents! Cat Attract clumps in a tighter mass than World's Best. On the down side it is twice as expensive. If you are only concerned with clumping- I think World's Best is a better buy. Good Luck. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Favorite Litter *by J***A on October 10, 2026* I use this in an automatic cleaning litter box and it worked fantastic. Not only do my cats (one is blind) enthusiastically and willingly use this, but it cleanly and efficiently clumps like no other product I've used. I use it in a self-cleaning type of litter box, which means litter is always fresh and clean for the next cat's use. Encourages good habits. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dr. Elsey's Premium Clumping Cat Litter - Cat Attract - 99% Dust-Free, Low Tracking, Hard Clumping, Superior Odor Control, Natural Herbal Attractant, Unscented & Natural Ingredients, 40 lb - Dr. Elsey's Ultra UnScented Clumping Clay Cat Litter 40 lb.
