Really well thought out and designed wallet
The wallet is well constructed, and has well thought out pockets and slots. I like that it has a wristlet, but also liked that I could take it off when I wanted to. It was a secure clasp, so it felt like it would stay on when it was attached. The passport pocket felt secure and to be the right size. There was a pocket where I could put my US cash, and another where I could put my British pounds. And it was nice to have two separate areas to hold a few cards. I kept my drivers license and 2 credit cards in one side, and my health insurance card, and garden membership card on the other side. I was also happy to find a bigger squarish slot that I could slip a Tile into (the product that you can use to find the wallet using your phone to make it start ringing so that you can hear where it is “hidden”.) It also had a place to clip a thin pen that I really appreciated. It really worked well.

Good product
I bought Zoppen travel wallet Ver.4 one year ago, that’s a gift for my friend, she loves it so much. We are planning to travel to Europe at middle of Jan., so I’m back to order one for myself. I purchased the wallet Ver.5 because it has a wrist strap, I love the style of this, it looks so cute and very convenience. I’m satisfied when I opened the package, as the grey color is beautiful and stitching looks nice, it is completely as what I thought. There are enough slots for my credit card, business card, metro card, ID, reward card. It can storage all my cards and passport, cash, boarding pass, receipt/coupon, some coins, as well as my iphone X, without bulky. Can’t wait to use it on my coming trip!

Convenient, secure, durable
What can I say? This baby survived a 5-week trip around Hong Kong and Seoul, including two 40-hour commutes between there and the US. I often carried the wallet and nothing else...it was durable, organized, and secure. It was also comfy to hold and looked cute with my casual hiking/walking/going-out outfits. It was so convenient in the airports, and I was so relieved to have it instead of digging around in my bag every day for my cards/passport. If you're traveling anywhere via plane, this is a good buy. Only complaint is that the fabric did start to fray within a month. It still looked nice, though, and honestly I would've been shocked I'd it had survived so many airports entirely unscathed.

Amazing, Chic travel wallet
I purchased this for my recent trip to Europe. It was perfect! It feels and looks expensive! The quality is wonderful. I'm so glad I bought this wallet. I plan on buying more in different colors. I got black. It fit my US passport perfectly. I could include all my cards, coins and bills. It's a great size. Not too big or small. I plan to use it outside of traveling too. Stop thinking about it and just buy one!! You won't regret it!

Combines form and function well
4.5 stars rounded up (for now, we'll have to see about durability). Looks and feels nice and is available in a wide range of attractive colors. I chose the hushed green for something understated but still elegant, and the official photos are true to color. While traveling, I don't carry many cards so I put in 6 to test, with a few slips of paper and coins in the zippered pocket, a little cash in the boarding pass sleeve (you can put a boarding pass there if you don't mind it sticking out of the wallet), a SIM card, and an International Driving Permit in the passport pocket. It closes easily and firmly (see second pic), and though it does feel bulky when I add my passport, which is twice as thick as the US ones, and my iPhone 8, it still closes (third pic). An iPhone 13 or bigger does not fit, so if you have one and you're looking for something like a clutch for a night out, this probably won't work for you, but if for travel, it shouldn't matter since most people are constantly holding/using their phones instead of putting them away in a wallet anyway. Some other things I liked were that even though one side of the IDP does get a little bent because it sticks out, the wallet still closes fine; cards slide in and out very smoothly of the slots (a little harder to pull out on the left side slots) but don't fall out; the SIM card slot is BRILLIANT, but just make sure you insert it vertically as pictured, not horizontally - I tried that and had to use tweezers to fish it out again lol; the wrist strap is convenient and comfortable though a little long for me. A downside about the strap is that as you can see, the hook for the strap stays open all by itself. Because it doesn't automatically close, when opening or closing it, I always have to make sure to squeeze it shut, which is a pain. I'm always a little concerned it's not actually closed. Also, the lever hurts :\ However, the strap is useful and I clip keys there when going about daily errands since I don't feel the wallet would close well if you put a bunch of keys in the key holder that's inside the wallet. Finally, there's a weird random circular indentation on the outside of the back of my wallet (last pic)??? I've checked multiple times and it's not a coin stuck on the other side or anything, so not sure what's going on unless crop circles have descended on my wallet, but it's a minor cosmetic issue as of now. We'll see how the travel wallet holds up, but overall very satisfied with it for now.

Good, useful product, but could still use improvement
Grateful to have had the opportunity to try and review the newest Zoppen travel wallet (version 5 - black); I received the previous version (version 4 - wine) as a gift and used it on a trip to Australia last year and found it to be useful so I was anxious to see what the new version would be like. This newest version has two differences from the previous version; it's bigger so it can fit a larger size cell phone and it has a strap so you can easily carry it like a wristlet/clutch. I like the addition of the strap as it makes it easier to carry and slightly more secure when carrying it alone and not in a purse. It doubles as a clutch for evenings when you only want to carry minimal items. I appreciate the RFID protection and the eco-friendly leather is durable and easy to maintain. My issues are with functionality. I love that there is a space for just about everything you need - passport, cash, cards, boarding pass, phone, and even a zippered compartment for coins. However, if you use each available space for all your items, the wallet becomes very tight and hard to use. I understand that they wanted to keep a slim profile, which I appreciate, but if you can't get things in/out without a struggle, then I'm not a happy traveler. I really was excited about this new version being able to hold a large cell phone. I have the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and my phone does fit in the designated space, but it ONLY fits WITHOUT the case - and I have the thinnest Otterbox case available. I don't know many people that use their phones without a case these days, so that was already a fail since it doesn't fit without the case. I'm not going to travel without a cellphone case so that part of the wallet is now useless for me. BUT, if I did want to carry my phone in this wallet without the case, I still would not feel comfortable doing so because the space for the phone is at the bottom of the wallet. If you fully open the wallet and let it hang down in front of you, your phone will most likely fall out of the pocket. You can only avoid this by opening the wallet on a flat horizontal surface and that may not always be convenient. The opening for the cell phone and the zipper pouch should be on the opposite side so things don't fall out when the wallet is fully open vertically. And that's another thing - if you put your cell phone in the designated spot (behind the zippered pouch), you can barely get your finger tips into the zippered pouch - so the pouch is basically useless. The addition of some pleats would help avoid this tightness by expanding and allowing some extra give in these areas. Better still, I liked putting my phone (again, only WITHOUT the case) where the passports are supposed to go. That is a much more secure (when opening the wallet) and accessible area - but again, it makes getting the credit cards out of the slots a little tight (and I'm not sure about demagnetizing issues), but it's manageable. But if you put your phone where the passports go then your passport has to go in the cell phone pocket which again, may fall out if the wallet is fully opened vertically - although a passport is probably more secure in that area than a phone because of its weight. I also don't see a reason for a SIM card slot - maybe it's just me, but I don't travel with a spare so the space seems unnecessary and maybe the space for the ID and cards could be made slightly larger. As much as I appreciate the effort of what this wallet is trying to do, I think more can be done to make it more efficient (not as tight when full) and also safer for our expensive/irreplaceable items (placement of phone/passport pockets). Since I won't be able to use the wallet with my cell phone, I will not have the issues mentioned above and it will be a more than fine daily use wallet as well as travel wallet, like the previous version was... except now I have the strap. Thank you, Zoppen.

Embossed labels are key for making this functional
I’ve been watching this item for about a year waiting for the price to go down... but I wasn’t convinced that this would solve my purse problem until I opened it and transferred my edc to this travel wallet. I’m impressed with the quality of the wallet, The card slots are exactly enough for my needs but I’ve been trying to get down to the essentials so this wouldn’t work for someone who needs to carry multiple cards beyond this. The carry strap clip arrived broken but I don’t need to use it so I wouldn’t count on that if the wristlet is important to you. The file system in this wallet is intuitive and easy to navigate through in a hurry plus the wallet isn’t too big to feel as though you are showing the world your private life if you pay for something. I recommend this wallet over several high end quality brands I own because of the organisation system and the stitching quality.
