It was not too difficult to balance, but I had to add more weight to keep the camera from rotating during movement. If you have to hold it for very long, it will become tiresome. But that comment could apply to any of these type of handheld stabilizers. If you want to follow the action by moving the camera, as opposed to leaving it still and having the action move, then this stabilizer works well. The spring in the handle seems to work well to stabilize vertical movement. Not 5 stars because it is kind of a pain to install the camera onto the plate, take it off, put it on again, and so on.
