Ultralife U9VL-JPFP6 Long-Life 9V Lithium Battery

I have tried many Li-ion 9v batteries and these are by far the best!! Longest lasting and most reliable.

Lasted just 2.75 years in a smoke detector, better to spend your money on a regular cheap 9V.

We do several powerpoint presentations as well as trainings and we use wireless headphones everytime. These batteries are a Godsend! It is so reassuring to know when we begin our lectures that the batteries are working. This was a great price; the first 9v lithium I bought was at Walmart and it cost $ 16.97 for 1; I was able to get two of these for the price I paid for 1. I would definitely recommend these batteries.

This Long - Life Battery and a Duracell alcaline is recommended by my Carbon Monoxide detector Company . Last time we used the Duracell and it lasted 10 months , when the unit started chirping to replace the Battery . We will see if this Lithium Battery last longer . It should .

Ultralife once made two kinds of lithium 9v batteries. The U9VL and the U9VL-J, having a distinctive black and striped copper color motif. The U9VL had a plastic case and was designed for general use much like any other brand. Before being discontinued, it was sold individually in a sealed foil pouch as the U9VL-FP. Cased in sealed aluminum, the U9VL-J is the famous 10-Year smoke alarm battery. A sealed case keeps out humidity which is highly detrimental to lithium-manganese dioxide chemistry. Being a tad larger than zinc and alkaline 9v batteries, the U9VL-J sometimes failed to fit in small devices. The differences between the U9VL and the U9VL-J as well as the failure of sellers to differentiate such in their listings have been a source of frustration to buyers as to the product they received and its quality of service. The U9VL-J has been replaced by the "next generation" U9VL-J-P with a stainless steel case and a two-tone silver graphic. It is now a normal size as the three 3v cells inside are themselves each sealed. Improvements in chemistry have been implemented including reduced internal impedance and polymer separators which will shut down the battery if overheated. The U9VL-J-P is sold in these consumer packagings: U9VL-J-P-FP: the U9VL-J-P in a white foil pouch (sealed?) marked "5X Longer than Alkaline." U9VL-J-P-BP: the U9VL-J-P in a cardboard bubble pack, red and marked "5X Longer than Alkaline." U9VL-J-P-X: the U9VL-J-P in a cardboard bubble pack, red and marked "10 Year Smoke Alarm Battery." U9VL-J-P-10: a box of ten U9VL-J-Ps with each battery having a plastic cap on its terminals. (I added hyphens for clarity as well Ultralife marketed them that way in the past. They have since dropped the hyphens, i.e. U9VLJPX.) Other appended designations like BK and CP are for bulk and contractor packaging or like FP6, a six pack of the U9VL-J-P-FP. Retailers have other purchase options, of course, with up to 48 or 100 or 680 batteries in various states of packaging... just the battery, just the battery with a terminal cap, or the battery in the foil pack. Contractors, of course, order in much higher quantities. So, if you get a U9VLJP and it's not in a foil or bubble pack, the seller got theirs in bulk.

The ONLY 9V Lithium battery that is sized correctly according to industry standards. The others are usually too big. Yes, there actually are industry standards on the physical size of 9V batteries. Unfortunately, all the other manufacturers of lithium batteries just a little too big. This often prevents them from physically fitting in many products. The Ultralife U9VLJPFP matches the size specifications for a 9V battery. This means you won't have to cram and oversized battery into a device. Electrically, these batteries are terrific. Outlasting an alkaline battery by 4X or more.

Very pricey.

I bought 10 of these batteries about 1 1/2 years ago. I put 7 into smoke detectors and kept 3 spares. 3 of the 7 installed batteries have failed already and one of the 3 spares failed just sitting in a drawer.

I used for my sensor tap, it just laated for 1 month only. If i by eny othee battery for 300 hundred rupeese it will also work for 1month

Battery lasted for just one month. Other batteries are equally good and costs 5 times cheaper. Suspect Genuineness of product sold.

Worst product.... deliver this 22 June and battery discharge with in 15 days
