Easy to put in service on a hose for watering three horses in a barn. Previously I had nozzle that needed a long trigger pull to fill six 5 gallon buckets, 2 to each stall, and they wore out in just 3 to5 months. This valve allowed an on / off process which made it easier to get the job done. I recently bought my second one of these valves when the first one became a little bit leaky after about 22 thousand on-off cycles, when the bushing for the ball stem got slightly loose. I could have probably gotten another three years usage with only a tiny leakage to stop by turning off the garden valve overnights. But these are not expensive, built like military tanks, and handy to use. The perfect solution in my situation. I wish more products were this good and reliable.

Shut off valve does exactly what I need it for. I purchased a different brand earlier but, the price shot up, so I got this one and see no difference from the more expensive one. Recommend this one.

I had a China made pistol grip hose nozzle. Lasted one season before it started leaking from multiple areas. As the old axiom, you get what you paid for. I reversed course and bought a USA made brass hose nozzle and coupled it with the Haus & Garden brass shut -off valve. Both fittings were top quality USA made devices that worked together tightly without a single errant drip. Both were precision brass fittings unlike the overuse of plastics in China products. Quality products made with top materials are actually cheaper over a lifetime.

Shut off works well. I purchased 2 similar designs and liked this one best. I like how the level angles up. The hose I am using is a repaired hose with a screw clamp at end. The angle of handle avoids contact with screw clamp. I tried the other design with a flush long handle and the long handle interfered with the screw clamp. Thus the angle on this one worked well. Not sure what the nut is made of - zync or stainless. It looks like zinc. The nut may introduce galvanic corrosion. I may swap out with a stainless steel nut which is less likely to have corrosion with brass. This is a solid heavy duty full 1/2 inch ball valve to get full flow. It works well. I would buy again.

This has to be the best shut off valve made. It is well machined, the handle turns very easily, it does not leak and does not restrict flow. I cannot imagine one of these being any better.

This is what the hell a valve for a garden hose should be. It is a ball valve instead of a gate valve and works perfectly. It is easy to open and close, does not drip, and the fittings are secure and easy to thread on. I will never buy another cheap garden shut off valve!
