These might work fine for rubber hose but they are not sized properly for 1” black poly pipe.

I modified my GM truck's heater hose coming off the intake manifold's water jacket. I eliminated the quick connector and got a regular fitting. I needed a right angle fitting to get the heater hose to the firewall heater inlet.These right angle connectors did the trick. I like these are 304 stainless steel and not the cheap plastic stuff at theautomotive box stores. A+

they were too loose and all the clamps in the world would not tighten them, they fit in the trash

Listed as 1-1/4", but was actually 1" or even a bit smaller. Not useable for my application.

It's not 1" !!!! It's 25 mm. 25 mm is not 1". Your 1" poly pipe will be lose!!

One of the fittings came with a 4mm hole in the square part of the elbow.
