My Dream Thermometer
This instrument is at the top of my wish list. If I were any more than an amateur chef, I would buy this in a heartbeat. Digital or analog, no two thermometers in my house can agree on any temperature. Some are not even within 3 or 4F of each other. Nor do the digital ones display all the temperatures in their range; for instance, one of them will always go directly from 102.0 to 103.1 to 104.3 to 105.6 with nothing in between. In a perfect world, everyone could have a Precision thermometer, one they can trust. If I use a crummy thermometer at home, all I risk is messing up a recipe. But if you are doing laboratory work, cultures, or vaccines, you cannot afford to be wrong. Someone's life may be at stake.
