Crown Automotive 5ED16T3X Front Bumper for Jeep Wrangler

Got this bumper for Jk to have the old school look. Needed to chisel off those square spacers off to fit on 2015 jk. Painted it with gloss black for standard look. Looks good. Rusted some on inside and tiny bit on front side. Thinking of getting another new one and painting it with rust sealer then floors finish again to have a protected one this time. Or. Sand down this one I already got and do same sealer/gloss finish coat.

The two mounting holes on the bottom of this Crown bumper are a tad too close together forcing both bolts to go in crooked. No, I did not have the other bolts on tight. I tried adjusting the bumper left, right, left, right, and so on. I had to remove everything and grind out the inner edges of both holes on the thick reinforcement metal so I could run the bolts in straight without stripping threads, adding time and frustration to what should have been an easy swap. If I didn't have a 1/4" metal grinding bit on a drill I would have had to return this product. Okay bumper otherwise. Job is done and it looks fine.

Overall seems to be decent quality and fit is good but the coating seems to chip off a little easy. When it arrived, the ends of the bumper had chips out of it from shipping so I just got some bedliner in a rattle can and touched it up. Close enough. Not worth the hassle of having to ship it back and try to get one that was perfect. The finish is different than the stock bumper, not as smooth but gives it a more rugged feel.

Item came as expected, I primed and painted it although I could of installed as it came , Very satisfied with this purchase

This was a good replacement for my old, rusty bumper. Bolted up with no problem. The price was right too!
