Hello sir, Thank you for your question . We can assure you that this board will leave minimum amount of knife marks . As this would be the case with any wooden chopping board. Kind REGARDS

Q: Is there formaldehyde in the glue? And has it been oiled already or no?

I don’t know about the glue but it didn’t come oiled, the board marked very quickly and cuts deeper than expected.. no longer used.
