Quiet Efficiency: The CyberPower 425 VA UPS Review
The CyberPower 425 VA UPS proves itself as an efficient, reliable, and quiet solution for power protection, suitable for a wide array of devices including Wi-Fi gateways, Macbook Air, QNAP, and even TVs and streaming boxes. The compact size and straightforward setup make it a versatile UPS for any home or small office. With sufficient outlets - four featuring both surge protection and battery backup, and four more with just surge protection - this unit can accommodate a variety of devices. In terms of performance, the CyberPower 425 VA UPS stands out. It responds promptly to power interruptions, ensuring that devices remain powered on and protected. The unit delivers around 90 minutes of power for light loads like a Wi-Fi gateway, invaluable during extended power outages. For heavier loads, such as a Macbook Air or QNAP, it ensures a solid 10 minutes for a safe shutdown, which meets my expectations perfectly. One of the highlights of this unit is its quiet operation. Even under heavy load and during charging, it maintains a low noise level. Furthermore, I haven't experienced any issues with overheating during prolonged usage, testifying to its overall reliability. Lastly, I assume that the power efficiency of the CyberPower 425 VA UPS is adequate, as there have been no noticeable increases in energy consumption since its implementation. Additionally, I have not needed to contact customer service, indicating that the device works well and lives up to its promises. In conclusion, the CyberPower 425 VA UPS is a top-tier choice for anyone seeking a dependable, compact, and quiet UPS for their essential devices. Whether you're dealing with frequent power interruptions or simply want to safeguard your devices from power anomalies, this UPS comes highly recommended. With its stellar performance and reliable operation, I give it a well-deserved 5-star rating.

Reliable
I use CyberPower UPS's on all of my computers and modems. The batteries last about 5 years and I had to replace one unit in 8 years. They have worked through a number of power failures, and I have used them to recharge cell phones during a power failure. The units give clean power when using a portable generator during a power failure (not a whole house generator).

Does the job but does not turn back on after battery is depleted.
These have been holding up over the years nicely. Only setback is when the power goes out for an extended period of time, these do not power back up on their own. If you use this on a simple home network, and have a concern with a power outage while you are on vacation, this unit is not ideal.

Real life test was successful. I’ll be getting a couple more!
The electricity went out very briefly a moment ago. It’s the first chance I’ve had to see if it does work. And it absolutely does. I have a Mac Mini M4, 6 external desktop drives, and a monitor on the UPS side of the device. When the electricity failed, the unit gave a single beep, alerting me and giving me time to turn on the monitor and begin shutting down. Luckily it all came back on before that was necessary. But it would absolutely would have allowed for that much time. It’s affordable and well made by a solid company! I’m going to get a couple more for another cluster of computers.

Compact and Powerful Enough For Modem And Two Routers.
CyberPower ST425 Standby UPS System. I got tired of resetting modem and routers each time the power surged or went out for a few seconds. This UPS fit right into the media wall box, simple to use with outlets staggered and flipped positions. In the first week it got its first power outage and performed seamlessly. I don't know how long it could have run with this low load, this time it was only a few minutes. I could just unplug it and see, but, nah, I ain't doing that! Well packaged, easy to set up, reasonable price, fast shipping, good seller!

Suits my purpose
Reasonable cost and functional. Has installed a power monitor but when the power went out, so did the Internet and the power off measuring was never received. I use this to keep the modem and router online during a power outage, for a brief while anyway. Does what it said it would. Can't speak to how long the battery lasts with this load, nor longevity of the unit.

Beware! It is a disposable unit...
I bought it 3 years and 4 days ago. The warranty lasts for 3 years, and the battery died today, LOL. Until today's blackout, I thought I was covered (My area doesn't have many blackouts, so maybe the battery died before). That's Ok. I just need to buy a battery replacement, like I have done before with other models. Well, I cannot find a replacement on the CyberPower website, tried Mighty Max, nope. I have two choices on "unknown for me" websites, paying $50 for the battery, which even if the sites are legit, is economically better to get a new unit from Amazon. The good: Compact unit, works fine, outlets are separated from each other enough to accomodate some bulky power plugs. The bad: Cannot find a battery replacement, so this is a "disposable" unit. For a disposable unit, the price is too steep. I am thinking of buying a bigger unit, one that uses "standard" sized battery, since I don't want to "adapt" a larger battery to the old unit. Thanks
