Protective Padded Shorts for Snowboard,Skate and Ski,3D Protection for Hip,Butt and Tailbone

Finally snowboard padded shorts that protect your tailbone. I’ve tried some of these before and they usually didn’t cover the tailbone fully. After having back surgery I needed to reduce the direct impact of falls on my spine. These fit well over my base layer. The pads are comfortable and thick enough to dampen a hit. They could add a more dense or even plastic shield to the outside to disperse the impact more. The shorts have enough stretch to make a good fit. They look a little bulky under my boarding pants. I took the thigh pads out to allow for the best fit under my shorts and pad the area I am most worried about.

These are new tech to me, as I quit skateboarding 25-30 years ago. Picked back up at 50. In addition to the rest of normal pads, this a great addition, under cargos. I can't tell you how many people have told me a hip stinger or some tailbone slam put them out for good. These fit, they stay... they're very light and you'll forget about them while skating. Obviously meant for older skaters, and probably all Snowboarders if I had to guess, since they bail that way, kind of like Kneepads for skaters. Safe bail. The padding is very compact. it absorbs but doesn't move much. Hips are protected. Tailbone is protected, (and softer butt landings) all welcome to my 50 year old self. You can't even see them under cargos. NORMALIZE WEARING PADS YOUR BRAIN IS YOU. Wear a helmet, no excuses. If you are older, I'd def suggest these as well. TOTAL no brainer if you snowboard. 100%.

Shorts were great as I wasn't expecting to snowboard but I did. I bought this for my boyfriend and I ended up using it instead. The only downside was that I wished that it had more padding on the tailbone but other than that, it saved me from a lot of bruises.

I am very happy with my purchase. The shorts fit snug which is my preference. Good amount of padding for my recreational hockey use. Good coverage over hips, thighs and tailbone.

I am an older skier who has been diagnosed with osteoporosis. I purchased these padded shorts so that I could add protective padding, especially around my hip. The feeling and fit was very good and they gave me some peace of mind while skiing.

Sizing was accurate. Everything as advertised.

The shorts are okay if you don't fall hard but I don't think they're as protective as higher quality and more expensive impact shorts. I keep falling on a specific part of my hip that doesn't get covered by these shorts and it gets made worse because the shorts can slide down my waist while I'm snowboarding. They also run a bit hot, so I get pretty sweaty with them on which can be uncomfortable for some people. If you want something simple and you're not trying to do jumps or tricks, this will do the job. otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

These shorts are great. I got several huge bruises from skiing & falling on ice on expert runs. So I used these this winter. No more bruises :-) They have enough padding in the right places, but not too thick, so I can wear them under my (loose) ski pants. They are very stretchy, but strong enough to stay up. I got size Large for my 35-36 waist. They don't hinder movement. Only 1 tiny issue: No fly. But I'd rather a little inconvenience than more sore hip bones.

Thick padding, so your pants will be tight. For the price, it’s worth it.

Bought for my son and it’s great. Better than those ridiculous stuffed animals that people strap to there bodies when they are learning snowboard. It fits really well and is great quality. I was a little nervous that it would be cheap fabric but was happy overall and price was affordable. My son is learning to board and this was helpful to protect his backside.
