These nail clippers are legit! Seriously sharp and cutting requires very little effort. The clippers are weighted and balanced, textured grips make them easy to control. The built-in nail file is no joke, either. Very effective.

Very happy with these clippers. Not a lot of tension on handle, and sharp, efficient blade, so low effort needed. The distance between the lever and body is larger than my old cheap set. 2.25" from back side of body to tip of lever. Someone with smaller hands should be aware. I was surprised by the file imbedded in the back side of the lever. Nice feature, and useful, though it's recessed, so not able to use it for every need.

Excellent quality for the money. Yes, they are bigger than usual, but you want this size for better contol over the very sharp blades. They cut through my thick nails like butter with little effort. Made in Japan quality. Get them!

My nails are on the hard side and I always had to press hard on my Harperton clippers. A lot of people on the internet seemed to give these high praise, so I decided to go for it despite the high price. As soon as I started using these I was shocked. These cut through my nails like butter with minimal effort. They also feel good in the hand despite being on the bigger side. This is one of the best purchases I've made and I'd buy another without hesitation if I lost my current one.

Simply the best nail clipper ever. It is safe and doesn't try to cut my toes off! Very sharp and easy to control the mechanism.

So I have three pairs of these, because they are excellent clippers. Unfortunately, the latest pair I purchased had som e quality issues which I didn't notice until after the return period was past. On this pair, a hangnail is produced on one side of the clippers if you clip directly in the middle or to that side of the blades. It's a very slight hangnail, but when feeling the nail or running your nail over cloth material, it is very obvious. Also, if you turn these over and clip with them, it leaves a noticeable ragged edge. It looks like the blades overlap just a bit on this pair which I think is the problem. These were my office pair so I didn't use them right away. Bummer. A nail file cleans up my nail edge well enough but I like these because my other pairs were a beautiful clean cut. So only four stars since my others are so nice and it's my fault for not noticing the issue soon enough to exchange them. I would still buy this brand.

These are everything one might want in a pair of clippers. Be careful! You're probably not used to blades this sharp!

These are the best nail clippers I’ll ever use. I’ve bought this item 5-6 times over the last decade. I’ve never lost a pair. I keep buying them because I’m convinced there’ll never be a better pair, so I’ve bought more to give away as gifts (which has been surprisingly well-received) and to keep in various travel bags and around the house. They are incredibly high quality with a heavy weight and polished, premium appearance. Most importantly they are extremely sharp - so much so that they enhance the nail-cutting experience in several ways I never would have thought about: - I’ve never needed to file my nails after using these, and I used to be a habitual filer. I wouldn’t have thought the extra sharpness would make this much of a difference to the smoothness of the cut nail to completely eliminate the need for filing, but they do. - Nail clippings fall straight down. Other nail cutters require a decent amount of pressure to cut fingernails, which are brittle and tend to go flying off. These cutters are so sharp and weighted that they require minimal pressure and the clippings just fall straight down into the garbage or a tissue or whatever else is underneath your hand. This works even better than the collection tray on some typical crappy nail cutters, which usually still manage to miss a few stray clippings. - Significantly fewer hangnails. On the rare occasion I do get one, I’ve used these clippers to give a super close and clean snip at the base of the hangnail. I’m not sure this is the most hygienic approach, but I haven’t run into any issues. - Easier to prevent ingrown toenails. The reliably sharp cutting edge allows you to shape your nails correctly more easily, and the resulting smooth edges are less likely to irritate an ingrown nail.
