So like many I rarely write reviews but every now and then feel compelled to tell the world about something special. I am a certified (certifiable??) coffee snob, even by Bay Area standards. Drive/walk all over town in search of the perfect cup. Its annoying. At the same time I simply cannot create a decent cup of coffee or espresso at home. And getting up 20 minutes earlier than I have to just to drive down to the local coffee shop every morning gets real old (and expensive). Maybe it was pure luck, maybe it was fate but one day a few weeks ago I saw a headline for "best instant coffees" and read a glowing review about Joe. It had to be a sign right? So searched Amazon, saw they had it and a few days later the shipment arrives. Simple packaging. Nice but nothing to write home about. Tried my first cup - could not be easier. Heat the water, pour it in. Oh. My. God. Literally the perfect cup of coffee. It was made for me. Exactly the right flavor profile and strength I love. Buttery smooth with a slight chocolatey finish. Game changer - will never again settle or mediocre office or airplane coffee again. Only critique would be the price. $3 per cup is what you would expect to pay at any coffee shop, but they should have a bulk option at a lower per-cup price point. Regardless, will always keep some on hand for convenience and definitely for travel.

I have ordered instant Joe Coffee as one of 4 different products- to choose the best instant coffee for me for hiking. What could I say- it is not bad coffee, but not for me. Honestly, I was expecting more from one of the top instant coffee in 2020 reviews (with quite high price too). It is a bit too acidic for my liking and a bit too watery for my taste. Aftertaste not bad at all, smell OK. Taken together- not bad, just not REALLY good. I surprisingly like Starbucks VIA Instant French Roast better - and I didn't expect that.

I love Joe Coffee! Coffee is not just a commodity to them - it’s a culture. From the bean farms to the cup, you can tell they genuinely want you to have the best experience. If you’re ever in NYC, definitely find one of their shops and check them out. I buy their coffee on line too.

Perhaps I received a bad batch, but this was very bitter and unpleasant to taste.

Great product and wonderful flavor. Single serving containers are way to use and the coffee is great. Hard to find good tasting decaf. This is a keeper.

Quite possibly the Worst Coffee I've ever sampled. Bitter, stale and tremendous waste of money. Folgers has better flavor.

I had high hopes. I appreciate pour over coffee and solid espresso, and typically prefer nicer, non chain, coffee shops. I avoid Starbucks as much as possible and loathe their coffee. That said, the idea of great tasting instant coffee I can make at the office is a lot more appealing than drinking the usual sludge they serve there. I think I set my expectations appropriately. I wasn't thinking this would be the best coffee ever, but I thought maybe they figured out a way to make a nice tasting instant. Unfortunately, they had not. The taste is slightly bitter and acidic. There is that odd flavor that all instant coffees seem to have - perhaps the tears from workers knowing they are insulting all other coffees. The remaining 5 sachets will find a cozy home in my office desk drawer next to my mushroom coffee and will never be heard from again. Update: I've given this another try, and with a different water to coffee ratio, I had better results. It's still not my favorite but certainly deserves at least 3 stars.

Instant Joe Coffee is a constant traveling companion with me. Joe’s is a welcome replacement for Starbucks Via packets. Joe’s has a full fresh brewed flavor. It is well worth the money if you are a frequent traveler like me who obstains from hotel room coffee.
