Hair Crimper, CkeyiN Professional Crimping Iron and Straighter with Heat Resistant Glove Adjustable Temperature Dual Voltage 4 Interchangeable Ceramic Plates (Black)

Wanted a set of crimpers and saw these with interchangeable plates. And as reviews were OK i thought I'd give em a go. I had ghds and needed some new straighteners so bonus flat plates were welcome. Didn't think they'd be as good as ghds but I was pleasantly surprised at how good they are. They straightened my hair just as well. I'm very happy with them,crimpers work well. Have to make sure slide plates on properly a few times I had them loose but now I know how they go on properly its all good. They heat up nicely but I find they take to long to cool down. A nice heat resistant pad or bag would be nice to help store them properly whilst cooling. Overall a good little set. I can't complain.

Thought this was going to be a non-starter as I when I figured out I was meant to be taking the outer shell covers off (diagram with the product didn’t really make it obvious - better to read the instructions on the amazon page), I just couldn’t get them off. They were on very firmly, but did eventually manage to get them off. Using the glove helped to get some grip. Good that they are on firmly I guess. Changed the plates to the crimping ones (straighteners seem to come loaded as standard). Just make sure you carefully attach the plates in the grooves or they’ll slip out. Putting the case back on was easier than taking it off! Heats up quickly, with a few heat options, and works well. Easy to use but it can feel a little hot against your face if you hold it too close. Found it dried my hair out, so you might want to apply some serum afterwards. Plenty of different crimping options. Keep hold of the box as there is no pouch to store the crimper in which is a pity. Reasonable price.

These crimpers heat up very quickly, feel good quality and crimp really well. The different crimping plates are easy to change if you watch the short video that is with the advert/listing for them - the written instructions are totally rubbish but as they are easy to use, it doesn't really matter. They look smart. I have only used the lowest heat setting which is fine for my meagre, thin hair - I haven't needed the heatproof glove so don't know if that works. The outside of the crimper's body isn't hot enough to burn if you are careful where you hold them. They come in a plain brown cardboard box which I liked because its recyclable, unlike shiny posh boxes. As my crimpers will be 'stored' on my floor-drobe (when cool of course), I don't need fancy packaging that'll just get chucked out in the end anyway.

The device heats up quickly but I find the plates fall off really easily usually just as I'm about to close it in the hair so it's not great

In the 80's hadca babyliss set of crimpers with interchangeable flat plates,they were hot.skop a couple of decades or so I purchased same brand but not as good ( is anything as good as back then) So fast track to these... Wow, the old warmth feeling near the scalp yes, didn't take too long ( nearly hour) used the smallest plates ,I was initially surprised at the width as quiet narrow at 1.5 inch, but I gave them ago ,and definitely happy with the results. Others said changing plates were awkward, but maybe old school here found them easy , you just slide off the outer white ' covers' remove old ,change to the selected plate line up the groves and slide in once secure replace outer cover job done

I ordered this hair crimper just over a year ago and I have been using it since then. I can say that it does the job but I am very annoyed at the fact that i have to constantly press the crimper down on the hair causing my fingers to burn quite a lot. It’s not that stable for it to crimp when you close both sides together so you are forced to push it down with your other hand. I am a hairstylist and it’s now caused my thumbs permanent damage because of this product which I am very unhappy about.
