Review: Bought a Second One After 2 Years of Use - This is a good yoga mat if you need some extra cushioning. I specifically need a thicker mat so my knees don’t hurt during workouts, and this provides enough thickness and support for me. I’m 5'8", and the mat is long enough for my whole body to fit comfortably on it. This is actually the second one I’ve purchased. My first was the orange color and lasted about two years before it started losing some of its resilience. Eventually, there was visible pitting where my knees and hands regularly rested, even though I rotated the mat. Comparing the two, I can immediately tell that the new one is firmer and provides more support. I wish the first had held up a little longer, but for the price, two years of use seems reasonable. I went with green this time, and both the orange and green colors have been true to the product photos. One difference I’ve noticed is that the green shows grease/oil marks where my hands, face, etc. touch the mat. I never noticed this during the entire time I owned the orange one, so this may be more noticeable depending on the color you choose. One other thing to know is that these have a pretty strong smell when first unwrapped. I left mine unrolled on the floor, and the smell went away. The included carrying strap is unfortunately pretty useless for me. I used it to carry the mat once, and the straps shifted around enough that the mat felt like it was going to slide out. I wouldn’t rely on it if you plan on carrying the mat around regularly.

**Q: What does 2/5 mean? Couldn't you just say that it is less than a half of an inch and therefor not really thick at all?**
A: 2/5" (0.4") is 10.16mm. Most mats are 1/4" which is 6mm. It is easier to compare mat thickness in millimeters than in fractions of an inch. So, this mat is a lot thicker and will give more cushion.

**Q: Do you know how long it takes to offgas? I just got mine and it's really smelly, thanks!**
A: New yoga mats may have a bit of smell at first, but it is completely harmless! The smell will fade with time and use, however, cleaning the mat can quickly speed up this process. We recommend washing the mat with a yoga mat wash or a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water. Then let the mat air dry. It should take no longer than 2-3 days maximum. A: I use it for yoga. Has a great grip on both sides and extra thick padding to reduce pressure in certain poses. Also great for enhancing balance as the thick foam forces you to focus on balance.

**Q: Will it fit in a yoga bag 26 wide 6 diameter?**
A: No, it’s much thicker.
