## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this come with one gauze pad or is there two. One for the entry and one for the exit?**
A: Best practice for "minimal" trauma kit - one Israeli bandage, one pack of compressed gauze (Z-pack or NAR, both on Amazon), one tourniquet, EMT scissors.  Say someone is shot in the thigh --  (1) Apply the tourniquet well above the wound, if possible, (2) use the shears to cut the pants away from the wound(s), (3) place the wound pad from the Israeli over the wound (if two holes, put it over the larger), (4) put the z-pack over the second hole, (5) wrap the Israeli as per instructions.

There are many good vids on You Tube showing you how to apply one of these.   Also, good videos on tourniquets.   I have both a Swat-T and a Recon Medical Cat-style in my kit.   The SWAT is very useful for "little people", where the CAT-style may not fully compress,  It can also act as an impromptu "ace" bandage, or wrapper to hold a dressing in place (for that "extra" wound, where you would otherwise only have a handkerchief or bandana to hold the people juice inside.
Seriously, for everyone -- go watch the videos, you may never see a major trauma in your life, or you may be in your car tomorrow and witness an accident with a major bleed.  It's worth a few minutes to learn this stuff.

A: The last few I have gotten have been made in China. They have all been excellent quality

**Q: Are these the new design that won’t unroll if droped?**
A: They are not. You need the z fold for that.

**Q: Do these have a retaining stitch in the wrap to avoid it unintentionally unwinding ?**
A: Not this particular brand

After the latest chainsaw recertification course, and watching several videos of chainsaw injuries, I looked at the skimpy first aid kit I'm been carrying and decided it was time to upgrade. Space is limited and this bandage allowed me to remove several other space-hogging items, so the kit gained a little space. Thankfully I have not needed to remove the bandages from the sterile packaging, so I can't comment on functionality of this specific brand of bandage,. In a wilderness first aid course similar bandages were very simple to use and appeared to function as advertised. The price is right, shipping was quick both by the seller and USPS, and Erick followed up with helpful emails. Thanks!
