The Boy's Body Book (Fifth Edition): Everything You Need to Know for a Healthy, Happy YOU! (Boys & Girls Body Books) Review: Great, Age-Appropriate Guide for Growing Up - I got The Boy’s Body Book (Fifth Edition) for my son, and it’s been such a helpful resource for us. It explains everything in a way that’s really easy for kids to understand without making anything feel awkward or overwhelming. It covers all the important topics like body changes, hygiene, emotions, friendships, and even things like internet safety and peer pressure in a very age-appropriate way. I really like that it helps answer questions kids may not even know how to ask yet, and it opens the door for good conversations between parents and their kids. It’s informative without being too heavy or too clinical. The tone is friendly and reassuring, which makes it easier for younger boys to actually read and engage with it on their own. Overall, I would highly recommend this book for parents who want a clear, supportive, and honest guide to help their sons navigate growing up. Review: Great and educational book - My son and I started reading this and it’s really helped initiate conversations that we otherwise probably would be too shy to bring up. I think it’s a great way to improve communication about sometimes awkward topics. Highly recommended!

Worth the hype
As a mother to a 10-year-old boy, I've found "The Boy's Body Book (Fifth Edition): Everything You Need to Know for Growing Up!" incredibly helpful for navigating pre-adolescence with my son. It tactfully addresses a wide array of topics relevant to boys approaching puberty, from physical and emotional changes to personal hygiene and respecting others, in a straightforward and age-appropriate manner. The book encourages open dialogue between my son and me, making him comfortable to seek answers to his queries. Its updated content is both relevant and sensitive to today's societal and technological contexts, enhancing its appeal to the modern reader. While more illustrations would be beneficial for visual engagement, the book's comprehensive coverage and accessible language outweigh this minor shortfall. It's a valuable resource for both parents and sons, promoting a healthy understanding and acceptance of the changes during this critical growth phase.

Very informative, but proceed with caution
I homeschool my children. I bought the girl's body book several years back, and was so happy that a book like this existed. We read it together and I was very pleased. My son is now the age she was, so I was happy to see they had a boy version. My son has had his nose stuck in this book since it arrived. He started talking to me about the exciting, new things he is learning about his body. Super cool. I'm cooking super and he comes up talking about changes his body will be going through. Then, mentioned he just learned about wet dreams. My mouth dropped open. Let's just end this there. This book is very informative, so keep that in mind. Overall, very good for teens going through puberty.

Highly recommend this book.
I am a strong advocate for having these materials readily available before a child ever needs them. I purchased this book over a year ago and this week, at the age of nine our oldest is entering puberty. It is said that it happens much earlier for kids now and, I wanted to have a reliable resource available that was written so that he could understand it on his own, we could go over some of the sections together, and it has been very helpful for him. Kids get a lot of information from other kids at school and today he shared with me that he was so relieved to discover that blood wouldn’t be squirting out of his penis each month. It’s just so important to have information available before they need it. Kids are under so much pressure and life is so much harder than when I was a kid. This is the last thing they should be wearing about.

Preteen book for boys!
Pediatrician recommended a book for my preteen. It has sparked a lot of conversations about different things. All communication is good! It’s good to be open.

Clear, Practical, and Age-Appropriate
Exactly what I needed to prepare my 10- and 11-year-old boys for “the talk” during our guys’ weekend.

Repeat buyer...Great for young boys
I bought this book a few yrs back for my oldest boy, when he started asking questions, and now buying another for my youngest boy. As a single mom it's hard to answer some of their questions but this book answers the questions, without the over graphic content that the internet would give, in a way they will understand. Great for any young boy just needing to know the answers to why their body is doing "this".

Looking for a book to get my 7 y.o. ready for the changes in store for his body. Really good book, age appropriate and clear, but for my son’s age, it does need to be read with a parent. Only real complaint is that the book makes no mention of sexual orientations besides heterosexual. For a book published in 2019, I find that omission glaring. This is especially notable in that the book mention attraction and not rushing into crushes (see photo) AND has a great section on bullying (both real and cyber). How can you explore the stress and anxiety of sexual maturation without acknowledging that some people will feel differently, be different and act differently in their development and attraction? Just a quick mention to highlight that these differences are normal and perhaps a few resources as references for kids who want more info would have sufficed. Otherwise, good book.
