Worked Well
As several have said, the finished product is soft. My first batch was that way, even after letting the unit run for 25 minutes. Before I started, I assumed that I was going to have to let the ice cream sit in the freezer for at least a few hours after being made. I checked it this morning and the ice cream was perfect. I noticed something in the instructions that may explain why some didn't think the ice cream was as firm as it should be. The instructions said to prepare the bowl by putting it in the freezer for at least 8 hours at -18C or -40F. I don't know anyone with a freezer set that low. Our freezer is recommended to be set at 0F. I think in most homes, it's not possible to do what the instructions direct. I don't consider this to be a big problem because you are going to put the ice cream in the freezer anyway. Just resist eating any for a few hours and all will be well.

Easy to use
I ordered this to make my own dairy free, sugar free ice cream at home without all the preservatives in it that store bought ice cream does. I tried making my first batch and followed the instructions exactly. I didn't rush chilling the ingredients before putting it in the ice cream maker so I had no problems with it sticking to the sides and stopping the paddle from turning as mentioned in other reviews. I actually put the mixed ingredients in the freezer for about an hour before adding to the machine. I've made many batches since I bought it and it works perfectly every time. I store the liner in the bottom of my freezer so I can make ice cream whenever I want. It doesn't take up too much space, especially since you can put other items inside it to utilize space. I highly recommend this ice cream maker.

Doesn’t work even after an hour of churning.
This product was a gift. Embarrassingly, it has not once been successful at making icecream. We have tried several recipes, all following instructions of the machine, and none of the batches have come out solid. It’s just liquid goop. I do not know if this machine is broken or if all the machines are like this, but it simply doesn’t get cold enough. Yes, we froze the bowl, 48 hours ahead of time even. This product is way to expensive to be operating like a $20 subpar machine. Wish I could return it and buy elsewhere.

Great starter machine
This machine is just okay in my opinion. I needed something small. It’s worth the price but you definitely get what you pay for. I love making ice cream & thought I would try out a countertop machine. This is a great starter machine. First batch worked wonderful but after that...not so much. Nothing broke, it’s easy to clean, I’m refreezing the bowl at least 24 hours or more but just can’t seem to get that first batch success again. Glad I bought it but I think I will opt to shell out a little more money & buy a better brand that is more reliable.

Keto dream come true :)
Insanely easy to make yummy low carb ice cream. I just used Swerve and it worked nicely. It makes a nice soft serve and if you control yourself and have any left it freezes up hard. Next I will try the brown sugar Swerve in place of granulated and add pecans and a sugar free caramel swirl. Easy to make and get creative!

Kids like it but doesn’t freeze ice cream well on its own.
Well kids love making ice cream. However, even with freezing the bowl well under 0 degrees, and refrigerating the mixes hours before hand, it doesn’t freeze well. So, we do all the above and make a space in the deep freezer for it to churn. Takes about an hour. Then I put into a frozen Pyrex bowl and serve.

Needs wider pour opening
This is the first time I ever had an ice cream maker. i didn't have any problem with it not being cold enough. As a matter of fact the first time I used it, with the machine on maybe 10 minutes, but not the maximum 30 minutes on the machine's timer, it get too frozen and so I could't get the lid off until many hours when the ingredients melted. (But once it thawed I also needed to learn to turn the lid in the opposite direction you turn to close it, and I think I needed to then pull it up. I am not mechanically inclined!) I had trouble pouring a pretty thick batter into the machine which made some of it stick to the upper sides and freeze. I think this caused some of the problem with not being able to open the lid. So I think a wider opening would be good. (I then made a thinner batter.) I am experimenting with using healthy non-sugar sweeteners, and also maybe thickeners in order to use less cream and still be creamy. It also might be nice if the machine would make a noise to let you know the ice cream is hard enough.
