I love this leash! I have a cattle dog who has what I believe to be serrated cutting molars in his huge mouth and have watched him chew a “normal” nylon leash in half during the course of a 3 minute conversation with a neighbor. This is an extremely strong product utilizing literal climbing rope and a friggin caribiner as the connection to your dog’s collar - complete with a spin lock for added safety. I like the substantial handle and well, feels like I have a better control of my Dingo with this leash. I have the orange color which is both attractive and easy to find and suits my Red Heeler well. Now all I need to do is find a similar matching collar if they make one - though I’m doubtful my wild Thing will let me take his original one off - of if I did he’d never forgive me! A cattle dog never forgets but sometimes it’s necessary for an upgrade. Yes it’s a little on the pricey side for a “leash” but well worth the extra cost for the extended length, quality thick “climbing rope” construction, and solid choice of the caribiner for the latch/connector. Essential accessory for your larger/active breed companion that looks nice too.

This is a great leash for any active, adventurous dog! We have been using it for almost 2 weeks now and are very pleased. It's good for both neighborhood walks and hiking or other adventures. We often hike off-leash in the areas we know well, but during busy times that can be difficult as we try to avoid meeting other hikers or dogs that way. The Sierra leash is great because it's sturdy and secure but also long enough to allow plenty of freedom out in nature. I have been using this with an Embark harness to keep our pup under better control locally as well, since the leash is nice and thick, and quite sturdy. The carabiner can tighten or loosen to keep the leash attached firmly to the harness or collar, which is really handy.

Couldn't be happier with my purchase. This leash has transformed the way I walk my puppy, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for somthing that ACTUALLY feels secure Also genuely blown away at the customer support provided by Embark, truly outstanding. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, Any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed, which made me feel valued as a customer. I have a strong pup, but this leash has held up remarkably well, showing no signs of wear or tear as of yet. It gives me peace of mind knowing that it can handle even the most energetic training/walks.

The leash seems to be a good quality. It is still to pill a little or fray on the rope after a few months of daily use. The color didn't match what I ordered but it's not a super huge deal.

I got this leash after the typical leash with the normal clasp unhooked itself (got stuck on harness) and she got loose and was bit by another dog and retaliated and bit back...she was a MUCH bigger dog than her attacker, both were fine but still.... I love that I can "lock" the carabiner in place, so I know it won't unclasp itself. The leash is stiff at first but loosens up after a few days of use. I've had this leash for 2 years now and it's held up SO WELL. Besides the dirt from daily use, it looks brand new still - no snags, tears, wearing out! It a really great leash!

Durable and Quality lead I’ve been using this lead for about 3 months now. The length is perfect for hikes or walks where you would like to give your pup more length to explore and not take you off the path with them. I really like the color options for this lead, the orange one is very bright so I never misplace it and it allows for cars to see me walking my dog when it starts getting darker(although it is not reflective). As for the durability, sometimes I use this lead to play tug-o-war with my dog and shows no sign of being worn down. Last cool feature of this lead is the carabiner style clip that allows for you to secure your pup and doesn’t allow for it to slip off the clip.

While the Amazon description gives good details, the actual product did not mention break strength anywhere on the packaging, so I'm a bit worried about that. It's thin rope, so it's not particularly fun to hold. (A $10 climbing rope leash I bought previously was much thicker and easier on the hands — this is just about comfort and not necessarily about strength.) The clip on it does not seem particularly sturdy, either. Without handle padding, I will definitely not order this again, but I'm not upset enough to return it. I do plan on modifying this myself, which doesn't thrill me, but it happens. We'll see how it lasts!

Received the leash packed tightly/securely without excessive packaging which I appreciate. The leash length is good (see pictures) and the clip has been easy to clip on and off. The clip can be screwed on to be more secure but I prefer to leave it so it’s easier to take on and off. So far it hasn’t screwed itself on which I like. The handle is extra big which is different and so far it’s worked well for our walks and trip to the vet. Embark seems to make durable products and although I’ve only had the leash a few days it feels sturdy like the harness we have had for several months from Embark. I also enjoy the fun color options.

Tenemos un pitbul y la compramos con la intención de usarla diariamente en los paseos. De primeras lo que mas nos llamo la atención fue el cierre y toda la "fuerza" que aguantaba por estar echa de cuerda y mosqueton de escalada. La correa es perfecta y a nuestro perro le encanta. Nosotros como tal lo llevamos con el julius y el perro va super cómodo además como mide 1,8 es aceptable que nuestro peludo la lleve . Espero la sigan fabricando

Die Leine liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Die Verarbeitung der Tauenden gefällt mir gut. Und als Sahnehäubchen hat sie den schönen robusten Karabiner. Die Leine ist stylish und funktional. Für meine Bergwanderung mit Hund fühle ich mich top ausgerüstet. Toll wäre eine größere Farbauswahl.
