Very good tires
8/31/2015: Received the tires, first impression was good, being a fold-able tire, it is a little more effort to install, tire lever is recommended (my fingers are not that strong) i needed something with better flat protection on the commuter, as the stock tires that came with the bike was cut up badly with just 3000 miles on them, without being worn out was gona go with Specialized Armadillo, but comparing the two, and the Gatorskin is $15 cheaper, and available on Amazon i order the 32c tires, to replace the 30c stockers, the commuter is the Secteur Disc, and i occasionally wander off road with it, hence the fat tires at 350g (for 32c) they a much lighter than the stock Espoir Sport tires (440g), i do feel the different as they are rotational mass, it also has a taller profile while identical in width, (the 32c Roubaix Pro tires i have on the Diverge has similar height, but wider), this translate to a better compliant ride, not sluggish, just very smooth (i have the pressure set at 90psi for paved road riding) as for rolling resistant, it is hard to tell, it does require less effort, but that could be just being lighter tires, the Roubaix Pro seems to roll faster, but that was on the Diverge Carbon, a much lighter and robust bike overall this tires meet all my expectations with a competitive price point, will update over time on flat protection and durability i have a 4000 miles/year commute on bike in Boston, so i'll be interested to see how the tire fair against road debris/sand/gravel/snow/heat UPDATE 9/20/2015: 400 miles in, the tires are broken in, still flush on rough road, it seems to roll an bit better. The best part: not a single scratch on the tires, and this is on the same road that cut up my old tires to bits. Happy camper

Great tire
Great tire! Installation fairly easy with tire tool. Long-lasting, 2 years and 2000+ miles with only one puncture (slow leak detected the following morning). Just ordered the next one.

Good impression and quality is top note!
This is a early review on this Gatorskin foldable 700x25mm. This is my first Conti brand tire. here is my story! Got a new bike in my collection, and the Mavic Yksion Comp comes with the bike is so flimsy I am sure it won't have a chance to survivor on NYC roads. And that is the reason I run tubeless on my other bikes include 2 road and 2 MTB. However, on this new bike I desire to run regular tires because I like the wheel set that comes with the bike and I don't wants to spend extra thousands to get a new set of tubeless wheels. So I did many research about puncture proof tires. I finally pull a trigger on this setup, Gartorskin on the rear and the Grand prix 4 season on the front. My goal is have less to no flat, beside I don't do racing so I am ok with bit more weight. For sure the Gartorskin is heavier than most race or touring tire. I don't plan to racing so, I am ok with a bit more weight, but it actuary not that bad. The foldable 700x25mm on the scale is 250g which 10g more listed on conti website. These tire are directional, the making is camouflage on the sidewall. need to pay attention on it. All tire information like psi, size etc... also camouflage on the sidewall, very hard to read! Mounting them on the wheel is not that difficult as tubeless tire (nightmare) but slightly harder than Grand prix 4 season as well as other lighter weight tires. Don't use lever to mount or dismount tires. Many time the lever will damage the bead without knowing it also may have big chance to pinch the tube. So don't complain the bead fail, please try not to plier the tire onto the wheel. The size is true 25mm. I also option to use Vittoria Latex tube, Conti don't recommend to use them. However I may plan to inject Orange sealant into it. which latex tube seal more better than butyl. So thats it for now, I will update after 500 miles on them :-) after 500 miles, both gatorskin and allseason are still look like new. Great tires

Confidence building
I bought these tires to replace the Continental 23c 4000's that I loved. I really think the 4000s were the best tires I've ever used on my bike for decades. Great tires. But, since I ride streets and trails around town where there seems to be an ever increasing amount of broken glass, I thought I'd try the Gatorskins and up the size a little to the max recommended for my rims, 28c. My immediate thought within yards on my first ride with them was that they were obviously a heavier tire and that they seemed a "harder" tire. A little harsher ride. However, I realized that I'd inflated them to the same psi that I used on the narrower 4000s. On my next ride I adjusted the psi down from 80 front, 90 back, to 75/80 and that helped some. I've gotten used to them after a couple of months riding, but they're still an obviously heavier tire. But, I don't notice it as much now. My original reason for buying them was extra flat protection. I have been very happy with the extra confidence I have when I ride of small particles of glass. I still try to avoid glass and I still hold my glove over the rotating tires after running over glass, but I do not really worry about it as much now. So, overall I'd recommend them for that extra confidence. And, they do seem to give a slightly more comfortable ride in the larger size and lower inflation.

Had on for a while and have to say best tires had ever with no flats from brambles or glass while riding side of road (glass zone) good traction all around and seam to be fine in cold days for not hardening up too much...also, wearing well !

Worth the money. I ride to work every day all year round. One puncture a year at most and that will be the one you didn't stand a chance against.

If you are commuting everyday this is the set of tires you need. In 4 years I only had on flat tire and it was a air valve failure. I’ve pulled out nails, glass and sharp rocks out of these tires so many time with no puncture. Totally worth the investment!
