Indoor Aquatics Filtosmart 100, Black, 4 Piece Set

I buy a new filter with each tank I set up. These FiltoSmart 100s are my favorite for small tanks. They are a nice compact size that can accommodate a good amount of filter media, they have a stand that's removable in case you want to put it somewhere with less space, you can integrate the header right in the unit, and cleaning is easy. I like how there is an assembly that both tubes connect to, and you can give the assembly a twist and it disconnects both tubes and allows you to remove them together without any water spilling out. Then you can service the filter, and twist the tube connection assembly back on and you're done. And it's very quiet. I have two running behind me and I can't hear either of them.

the pump is quiet and powerful suction, but the hose is too short, I need to buy one more hose.

Using this on a 30cm cube (7.2 gallon). Maybe a little overkill but I like the cleaner look using an external canister filter. Easy setup, leak free, and solid build quality. I’m using it with lily pipes and the flow is perfect. I don’t really like the dark tubing they give you so I bought some clear ones instead. It comes with sponges and bio media but I replaced the bio media with Seachem Matrix. Priming the filter is easy. With the top off, fill it up with as much water as you can then put the top back on. Then twist off the cap for the optional heater port and fill it up more until it’s just an inch or so away from overflowing. Screw the cap back on and plug it in. One thing to watch out for; there’s a small tube right near the propeller that fell off on mine. Make sure that’s plugged in.

The build quality is amazing, easy to set up. Very fast to clean with out making a mess.

This is absolute prince of junk. Leaked straight out of the box from multiple points. Just a terrible, terrible product. Do not buy it.

Have this running on our 29 and wish I would have just stayed with the brand we use on all our other tanks. The water flow is very night, can barely feel it coming out the spray bar. Also, it was more complicated to set up than our favored brand with stiff parts we were worried we were going to break. For a 20 gallons or less I might like this more, but it said up to 30 gallons and on a 29...it just doesn't measure up. Very quiet though so that IS a plus!

Best guess for people who are complaining about the instructions is that they have never put a canister filter together before. I had no trouble even without looking at the instructions and I'm happy with the flow and the ability to control it. Time will tell how it holds up for the price it's very nice option if you can't afford an EHEIM.

Look like a good product, but the filter stop working all the time. need to restart it almost every week and its very difficult to start it.

Liked this filter had good flow and was easy to set up and use very quiet. These are considered high end and very popular in Europe. Only problem is that they are greatly over rated for litres per hour.

Realmente no hace ruido, tiene un excelente caudal, para cargarlo la primera al conectarlo no lograba líberar el aire así que necesite de una manguera conectada a un grifo y con eso fue fácil cargarlo y al ponerlo en la pecera funcionó muy bien. Y el filtro es muy compacto pero tiene espacio para 2 esponjas, canutillos y aparte yo puse carbón activado

Weak flow, very cumbersome to do any maintenance on.

The best external filter I have come across so far. I will absolutely be getting this brand again. Very quiet, easy to adjust flow.

Used on my 12 gallon but I’m sure it could be used on upto 30 gallons. Quiet and powerful.
