Milwaukee 2331-L M12 12-Volt Large Heated Jacket Set

I bought one for myself (not the set since I have several Milwaukee tools) but as soon as my wife checked it out she decided it was going to be hers so I ordered another one. Thanks to the review who pointed me to the set with charger & battery I saved money since I was going to buy each of them separately with the second jacket. The jacket looks good (not what one may consider a "work" style, but can be worn "in public") and fits nicely. As another review noted, the sizes run a bit tight but not by much. The battery location is awkward at first but I got used to it. The jacket warms up quickly and I expect it to be more than comfortable in a Chicago winter without the bulk of a down coat.

I purchased this jacket primarily for use while riding my motorcycle and it does work very well but has limits. The size was right on the money as far as fit goes for my normal size. It is very comfortable and high quality. It has insulated characteristics that I find I don't need to turn the heat on until 50 degrees or below. I really like the battery being readily available so it was easy and reasonable to purchase a second one so I have a back up for long days. The battery has lasted long enough that I haven't felt I needed a third battery. The limited aspect of the jacket and motorcycle riding is the jacket is on the bulky side for wearing it under your heavier motorcycle jackets. It does not fit under any of my Tourmaster jackets. So it won't work for me in colder weather with the heavier jackets I have unless I purchase larger size jackets to wear over this jacket. It does work nicely under my rain jacket for a shell but that is not enough in temps below 50 degrees because there is no heat in the arms. So the jacket falls a little short on the use I had purchased it for, but I have found other situations off the motorcycle that this jacket is fantastic, so it was well worth the purchase in the end.

I wouldn't say is top notch, but material is well made. Keeps you warm even without the electric heat on.Pro: Keeps you warm, water resistance and wind proof.Con: Battery dies too fast. the 6 hr that is advertised is on "LOW" (blue) and you barely feel it. "MID" (Blue) lasts about 4 hours the most, you going to need an outer layer on top of it. "HIGH" (red) lasts less than 2 hours, but when this is on high; You'll get the kick from it.Hope this helps.

I paid for the Milwaukee M12 jacket and have owned it for four years. I only wore mine to sit in my deer stand and hunt, nothing else. So in year four, which by the way I have not hunted for three years now. So it has been hanging in my closet for three years now, I put it on and it does not work. So I contact Milwaukee Tools and they had me pay to ship it back to them. Three weeks later a guy calls me and says that since it was purchased more than a year ago it is out of warrantee and they cannot help me because they do not repair them, only replace them if within the first year it was purchased. So divide your $250 by twelve months because that is how much it will cost you. I will never buy one again.

I just recieved the jacket yesterday in the mail and when I opened the package the jacket and the recharger was there but the BATTERY was missing!!So I can't even try out the jacket. It is supposed to include the battery but I cannot find a telephone number with Amazon to tell them what happened.Amazon where are you and how can I resolve this short of packaging up the entire shipment and returning it. What a pain.

I bought this jacket for my husband as a Christmas gift.The first thing my husband said was "it doesnt get cold enough in Florida for a heated jacket".And of course I proved him wrong AGAIN!!!!lol.Anyways my husband works construction and right now they are on barges over the water.All the guys at work are jealous of him because they have on multiple jackets & sweaters, and he (my husband) has on one t-shirt, a long sleeve and his heated jacket and he stays really warm, so I dont have to worry "is he warm enough?"He says its very comfortable.There is only one thing I dont like, you cant wash it in a washing machine, you have to hand wash it.Im ocd and it drives me crazy(lol).So its not a jacket you can wear to work and wear when you go out on the town...I saw this jacket on Live with Kelly and I think its one of the best gifts I ever gave my husband....YOU NEED TO BUY IT,ITS WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You will make your husband very happy:)

It took me a few weeks to decide on this purchase just before the holidays. I need to keep warm as a lot work that I do requires me to work outdoor in tight spaces and for extended times. I also plan to get going in roofing work as well.As the very long detailed comment from before mine, The commenter nailed a lot of excellent qualities. May I add that this year happened to be a year where there has been extended cold days. I can handle 30 and above with this jacket and the heating off. It keeps me warm. Sometimes when it is 20-30 degrees I need to turn it on low to mid level.I was really disappointed after purchasing this to find ebay sellers a better and more preferable color: BLACK. I don't like walking around looking like a drill or sawzall you know. If I knew they had a Black one of these I would of paid more even. Just disappointed that Amazon didn't have it so just to give heads up do some research on the colors.Lastly, the red would be good for safety though but when I work I prefer to be unnoticed because I don't like interruptions, just want to get it done.I am very pleased with this jacket overall, just can't figure out how to prevent the black marks on it from working standing out.

Excellent buy except I think it should come with two batteries instead on one. If you are in the cold for the whole day the battery will only last for half of it.

It would get 5stars if it was water-resistant!!
