AquaTeak Moa 12" Teak Floating Shelf, Wall Mounted, Holds Up to 10 lbs

This shelf is a good item. Well built, strong mounting brackets, hardware included, and looked nice. The wood feels a little “raw”, meaning there isn’t a sealant on it, but that could be remedied or you might be going for a more natural wood feel. We needed a shelf for our shower remodel plans. We chose a teak shower bench and are happy with the design of that. This shelf just didn’t match the style of the bench, so we returned it without installing it. We ended up buying a second shower bench and taking the wood from it to construct a matching shelf. For our purposes, this solution was better than having a shelf that was a different style of teak/construction. As I said, nothing wrong with the product, it just wasn’t what we were looking for in our project. One thing to mention, it is rather deep, so it’ll stick out from the wall a fair amount. We want to optimize the space in our shower remodel, so we needed a shelf that was shallower.

I own 15 shelves from this company and the quality is incredible. They are worth every penny.

It’s nice wood and looks great but…plan on mounting it using something other than the provided drywall screws. It’s too flimsy and weak. Instead, i bought metal shelf brackets and used those. Especially in the bathroom, you don’t just need a shelf to look good, it needs to be strong and functional too.

I used these shelves in my new bathroom, I’m so pleased with the way they look. The shelves are sturdy, and color is beautiful. Pleased with my purchase. I thought the price was a little steep, but, they were worth the price. I just opened the boxes and hung the shelves.

I bought this for my walk-in shower and it gives a nice contemporary look. Much better than any metal or plastic contraption. I mounted it by drilling through the back board rather than using the slots, which is much easier and more secure. I even took it a step further and added some construction adhesive to the back side before mounting it. It's very sturdy. It has only been a month, but I'm certain that if I maintain it properly with teak oil, it will last for years.

The shelf is what I wanted, however the hardware and wall hanging strategy for this is not effective. The shelf is too heavy for 3 screw heads to hold it tight against the wall. Let alone keeping it level. The design of the three screws makes it lean forward even at its best. Great shelf, poor hanging design. I’m trying to formulate a strategy to make stay flush against the wall and level. Probably using “L” brackets. So the floating design is not realistic.

I’m using this as a wall shelf on my patio fence for a statue. It looks great and holds up well.

The mounting anchors were not adequate for the weight of the shelf. The anchors would work better on a tiled wall. Love the wood.

Solid teak wood- great quality. I’m sending them back because they are a lighter stained finish than I need for my bathroom space. I have a shower bench and bath mat from them through Amazon and they’re a lighter finish so still looking! Beware you will need sturdy wall brackets or hit wall studs. There’s no way these will stay up on a wall with what’s included. Way too heavy.
