Review: Great for homeschooling. - I am homeschooling my child and I am following this book. It explains things clearly and gives examples and exercises, and answers are provided. This is the first proper reference for maths that I have found. It needs to be slogged through from the beginning, but my child seems to enjoy learning from it, and she is enjoying the exercises, in fact so am I. Review: Most so far have been in the answers and have been quite easy to spot - Coming back to maths for the first time since school, this is a decent book with plenty of examples and exercises. The down side I have found so far, having only reached the end of the first chapter, is the number of misprints, around 6-7 so far. Most so far have been in the answers and have been quite easy to spot, e.g. the difference between +2 degrees Centigrade and -7 degrees Centigrade, which the book says should be 42! Others may not be so obvious, like a plus sign in a question turning to a division sign in the answer. It also asks questions using terms that aren't explained until about 300 pages later.
