Great germination rate if you do your research
My seeds arrived last week - there were 6 seeds in the sealed packet (yay, bonus!). Please understand if you buy these you need to use some special methods to ensure germination- scarification (I lightly filed near the pale mark on each seed with a 100 grit file), bottom heat (seedling heat mat), and I used the plate method (seeds go between two layers of wet paper towel on a plate, plate goes into a ziplock bag, whole thing set on heating mat). I did this on 5/23/23 and by 48 hours 5/6 seeds sprouted. The other will likely sprout, usually the brown staining on the paper towel indicates success, but it was a bonus seed so Iโm not going to be bummed if it doesnโt. Iโm leaving them until theyโre at least past cotyledon stage. Update 9/15/23 - the last bonus seed didnโt germinate, but the other 5 all grew to be healthy plants - I only kept 2 for myself and gifted the others. Added pics of them - they are fast climbers and their tendrils are quite brittle so you canโt direct growth as well as some others like Passiflora but the scent is divine when the blooms open and they are so visually striking. Iโll definitely buy from Park Seed again.

Only one of five seeds sprouts.
I guess I was one of the lucky ones that in fact a seed sprouted. The package comes with only 5 seeds which it is kinda pricey for the amount, as well only one sprouted of the bunch. I bought more seeds for my sister so, shall see if hers sprouts. Grow really fast, this photo was taken the 1st week of September, now it has 9 leaves.

So pleased with my purchase
Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes. This is my all time favorite vine. Stopped growing it years ago when I had health problems so needed to buy seed when I was ready to try again. I got these seeds around noon on 25th of March, nicked the very edge with nail clippers where the edge is the thinnest, just to get thru the brown, soaked in warm water all day and planted at 10pm in damp seed starter mix (I put my soil in a bag and add water, blending until well moistened) in little cardboardy pots. Put the pots in my Jiffy starter tray with the clear lid, put the heat mat under it and on 28th of March I had my first sighting of a green stem poking up. Today, 30th of March I have 4 seedlings with leaves getting ready to open. I used the cardboardy pots so I wont disturb the roots when I put in the ground, these pots are made to break down in soil. A note from previously growing, those little disks that came in my seed tray that expand when wet never worked for me, holds too much moisture is my guess, but I always got them up to first set of leaves and the stem would rot at the soil line. Hope these details help someone who is new to this vine. I highly recommend the vine and the seller and I look forward to smelling this again in the Fall when it blooms. Good luck.

Seeds did not come up
5 seeds for 13 dollars, especially if none of them were germinated. Could at least include more seeds, for a better chance. Sounds like easy money for the seller, too bad for the buyers. And yes, planted according to the instructions, after the days of last frost. Live and learn.
