Protein Pudding
I absolutely love this Tofu! I was looking for a way to get extra protein and one of my friends told me of a recipe with this extra soft tofu mixed with peanut butter... Omg it was like a peanut butter pudding. It was delicious! I was worried it would be rubbery or chunking but it was silky smooth and no lumps! Would recommend this to absolutely anyone. There is so much in one box that you will totally have enough to last you quite some time.

Perfect for Smoothies
The best tofu for smoothies. Especially love that it doesn't need to be refrigerated until open..I get 2 smoothie out of each one. Can't best that!

Very creamy, tasty
Bought this to make super low calorie oil free mayo. The recipe cost ends up being around $5.50 for 30 oz (standard mayo jar size today), which isn't bad, but you do this to save calories (9 per tablespoon), not money. The recipe for oil free mayo called for Mori-Nu "firm", but "soft" was cheaper. They were very specific that you have to use Mori-Nu Silken, that regular tofu in the refrigerated case won't work. That's actually great because Mori-Nu has a long shelf life in your pantry without refrigeration. Pretty good emergency food as well. After blending and making the mayo, it came out very creamy and tasty, but kind of light in body. I do wonder if I should have just paid more and bought the firm or extra firm silken tofu the recipe called for. Some people even recommend extra firm. Since I bought 12 boxes, it's going to be awhile before I make my next purchase. The taste is interesting, but like the best tofu, kind of non-descript. It takes on whatever you season it with.

usually good quality; occasional seems like it went bad
occasionally arrives with a sour, weird taste and texture as if it froze and thawed. otherwise pretty consistently good silken tofu. I buy 12 packs.

Great tofu
Love a shelf stable product. This has great flavor and many uses. It was a large package so I split it with my vegetarian daughter. Worth every penny!

Great for making Taho
I specifically bought this type of tofu for making โtahoโ. Its a filipino pre-breakfast snack eaten with hot/warm brown sugar syrup with small bobas yum! You buy it from a taho vendor on foot shouting TAHOOO!!! They carry a bamboo pole with an aluminum buckets on each end and theyโll keep on yelling taho while walking around the neighborhood until buyers will yell it back to show theyโre interested but an army of little kids with huge smiles on their faces calling out โtaho tahoโ are the usual patreon of the product. One bucket contains the freshly cooked soft tofu and the other holds 2 containers inside - hot sugar syrup and bobas. You get to choose if you want more/less bobas and syrup so itโs stored separately. Itโs served in a plastic cup. I just realized i can make one using a soft tofu (tried a ready made in a filipino grocery - ewww). This product is my first try and i loved it. The texture though is not silky smooth. Itโs like it has been frozen then thawed but the taste is still good. All you need are small pearls (store bought or homemade) and sugar syrup. I just cook the bobas in the sugar syrup until transluscent then scoop out the tofu (around 1/3 of the box per serving for me). I think the tofu is ready to eat but i still simmer it for atleast 5 minutes just to be sure.

Spotty quality and shrinkflation strikes again
Purchased 4 12-packs on Dec 21, 2025. Return window closed Jan 31, 2026. As of April 29, 2026 I have opened 41 of the 48 packs. Of those 41, 7 packs were bad, with a grainy texture and off smell. Pictures attached. I suspect this is improper storage at Amazon, as I have seen this before with Amazon purchases but never when directly purchased from Mori-Nu. Unfortunately, Mori-Nu no longer has direct sales. Also, shrinkflation strikes again! Package weight is now 10.8 oz instead of 12 oz. Buyer and cooks beware - you may need to adjust your recipes. Still the best source for aseptically packaged soft silken tofu. Need some competition in this space.
