Excellent shower stool! The crossbars on the legs are what sets this stool apart from a stool without the crossbars. They add so much stability! I previously had a shower stool without the crossbars, and the legs eventually just spread apart pulling the screws out from the underside of the seat. But this stool, WITH the crossbars, will NEVER do that. I do wish that there was just a bit more surface area to the seat itself, and that it was perhaps another inch taller. But there are not deal-breakers, this still is still fully functional and perfectly fine as is. It is safe and very sturdy. It's SIMPLE to put together/assemble, no tools are required, and it takes only about 10 minutes to fully assemble. Be sure to follow the enclosed instructions and tighten the screws in a cross-rotating order, and do this regularly (ever week or so). HAND-TIGHTEN ONLY! The first time you put the stool together, leave ALL of the screws just slightly loose (just touching, loosely, not wobbly, holding the legs in place). Then, place the stool on a level floor area and SIT on it, wiggling around to get the stool to "settle in". This will make it so that it doesn't wobble after it is fully tightened. If possible, have someone else tighten all the screws (in cross-rotating order) WHILE YOU ARE SITTING ON IT. If that's not possible, while sitting on the stool, try to tighten as many of the screws as you can. Then get up off of the stool, turn it upside down, and complete HAND-TIGHTENING all of the screws. Again, hand-tighten (only...use NO TOOLS!) all of the screws once a week to keep it as sturdy as when it was brand new and to keep it from wobbling and possibly being damaged from sitting on it while it is loose. This still will last many years. It's a fantastic shower stool and it's not that expensive.

This shower stool was a life-saver when I broke my foot! It shipped quickly and was exactly what I needed. It was very quick and easy to assemble. It is lightweight and fully adjustable to whatever height works best for you. The rubber feet work really well to keep it in place. Not having arms on the sides allows you to maneuver yourself on and off the stool with ease. Depending on your situation, you may need arms, but being non-weight-bearing on one foot, it was much easier for me to pivot from a chair outside the shower to the stool inside the shower without having to take a step. After comparing other models and prices, I was very happy with quality and value of this shower stool. Also, some models come with a pad for the seat, but after reading reviews about not being able to clean the padding very well, I went for this one without a pad, and it was just fine. Because the seat is bowed, has a slightly raised pattern (not completely smooth), and has side handles, I always felt secure and never felt like I was going to slip off. Overall a great purchase, especially when you need it quickly for a unexpected injury!

I bought this in January of 2022, and am writing this review now because I realized today how much I appreciate having this adjustable bath chair in my life. I first purchased it after a fall on ice (cracked my head open). I had difficulty getting up off my toilet afterwards... because I had not realized how much I had hurt my left leg in the fall... it buckled underneath me. I was able to position my forearms on the seat and lift myself up off the toilet. I have since healed... until today when I slipped in the bathroom, and my leg buckled again. However, my wonderful Dr. Kay's chair helped me again! I have also used it when I get light-headed in the shower, and need a place to sit for a minute. The seat is textured... so much better than sitting on the edge of the tub, all slippery and wet. It is very well balanced, so that sometimes when I need only to lift myself up by one side... I can easily do that by just putting my hand on the side of the chair. I have it within reach at all times. The chair is very strong and sturdy, great quality... and was very easy for this old girl to assemble. I mean, you do have to lay out all of the bits and pieces to start... but the directions are very explicit and easy to follow. This is one of those things I would grab on my way out of my apartment, if there was a fire. I absolutely love it! AND, am very, very grateful to have it.

Easy to assemble! I recently was hospitalized and was afraid to stand in the shower when I got home. So glad I bought this. It’s sturdy and doesn’t slide in the tub Great for people like me(elderly). It was a wise purchase and I don’t have to worry about falling in the tub when I shower.

Wonderful. It was a great help to me after surgery. It stores easily and is lightweight. Sturdy. Easy to assemble. Fits well in tub. When anyone has surgery or injury it works great.

I just used this for the first time. It was remarkably sturdy. I needed it for my tub. ( rather than the flat floor of a shower) The chair needed to be placed midway between the front and back because of the curved sides in the back of the tub. I will have to ask my daughter to change the angle of the shower head. It was such a treat simply to sit there, allowing the hot water and steam to relax my muscles. My daughter assembled the seat very easily. We gave it a test run before placing it in the tub. I’m a plus size woman, within the weight restrictions noted. I felt very secure. So glad I got this! I used to take quick showers because I was concerned about falling. Now I can actually relax, allowing the water to flow over me.

Never realized how great a shower chair is and didn't get one before because they are "for old people." Well, turns out I'm old, and I have some vertigo almost all the time. It is so much safer to be able to sit and put conditioner on my hair or put moisturizing body wash on, then rinse it until the floor is no longer slippery. To wash feet and legs without losing balance, or to do a pedicure. This is well balanced, but check it each time. Never sit on the edge of it or turn it sideways to sit. Feels sturdy. Drains very nicely. No problem with staining or mildewing. Dries well. Putting it together was a bit tricky. You need to follow the instructions well and don't tighten any screws tight until all are in. The best choice is to call the building's cute young maintenance man to put it together. Don't just buy this for grandma. Get it for yourself too.

I love this shower/bathtub seat! It is well made and I feel safe sitting on it! We had a shower stool but I didn't like it at all. I always felt like I would tip over any time I tried sitting on it. With this seat, I can actually wash my feet and feel secure! It's great, It's a great size so I can move around with ease. I like that it is smooth so I don't feel like I'm just gonna slide right off. I was able to put it together quickly too. I highly recommend.
