If you're lucky, it works pretty well, but the smallest discrepancy in level throws the score off by a fraction, enough to make separating the pieces tricky. Usually, fine or course adjustments to the finished edge are required, often resulting in an unusable cut. If you don't plan to cut enough to become proficient, this might be a frustrating item.

Got this as a gift for my girlfriend (we've been trying to cut bottles for candles but couldn't get any DIY method to work). The Kinkajou worked like a charm! The scoring is easy to do and makes a very clean cut, so sanding and smoothing is simple and quick.

Have tried about 5 bottles and none of them have worked. They all break.

Works great, needs a little practice in use. But over all I like it

This is very difficult to use

I have probably tried to cut 10 or more bottles (wine and beer bottles) and can never get a clean cut. I give up.

While I can understand some people having difficulty, after three tries I had the process down and have had great success ever since. FOLLOW the directions! Don't be in a rush, have steady hands and use boiling water...works like a charm.

It doesn't stay in alinement no matter how I try it.
